Hi guys, my name is Carl and I downloaded a redstone house at billionblocks.com and here is the problem. For example: I try to open a redstone door and it opened. Now i want to close it and when i push the button, nothing happens. Is it the map, or is it my game? Please HELP me... Thanks.
no I haven't. I freshly started after moving the world to the saves folder. I didn't break any redstone circuits.
@derek1036 there's lots of mechanics that have broken over the many Minecraft updates. As @AlvinB said, it probably is an old map. Is there anything on the website that indicates the intended MC version for the map?
There's nothing there but im looking forward to try it on different versions. It might not be an old map because, a guy named WiederDude built the redstone maps and i am sure he is always up to date on minecraft versions. Could you please send us the link? I'm not as good as some YouTubers, but I definitely know my way around redstone. If you send me a link for the map then I can take a look at the actual circuitry.
Sorry for the delay, I just got around to checking it out and there's a very simple answer: The door just won't work. I don't even know why this would be uploaded, or how they had it working before, but because of quasi-connectivity and all sorts of fun BUD stuff, the timing on this door is just messed up. This isn't your fault, it's the fault of the creator. Also, how is this a redstone house? The only thing that's a redstone contraption is the front door, and that's broken. I'm not counting the car doors that open. It is a snazzy looking house though.
Thanks for your help though. Oh and BTW there is also a secret redstone vault in the basement. Check it out. It's so cool.
I'll do that. Too bad the rest of the house isn't functional :\ I'm sure you'll be able to find other cool redstone houses. If you want a good one then look up "Twiistz" on YouTube, he showcases super epic redstone houses (among other things).
