Does this happen on your server when craftbukkit is disabled? Just run minecraft_server.jar from minecraft.net rather than your craftbukkit jar to get a vanilla server.
Please post your server.log file. Its helpful to see the server log from the start of the server until this error (and after if possible). Also, if you think its a plugin (we won't automatically know, btw, in case you think we do), I suggest removing them all and trying without plugins. If the problem isn't there, try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. Last but not least, can you give us your "java -version" ouput?
her is my log after the last line i get this errors from the first post. but they arent in the log. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes until the server crash and sometimes 2 hours. --- merged: Feb 2, 2011 7:42 PM --- *push*
no. and no such problems with hmod (official in the old versions and unofficial on the new version) only with bukkit
any luck with craftbukkit and no plugins? (easy way to remove them is just yank the jars out of plugins folder and put them somewhere else temporarily.. then restart server)
dont tested without plugin because sometimes the server stands a few hours but now i am trying to run it on a RamDisk
This is because Minecraft is horribly inefficient in the way it stores world data. It creates a HUGE I/O load when running, and especially when loading/unloading chunks. A ramdisk will ease that as it will make everything run as fast as your RAM can keep up. Personally, I really, really want to see Mojang release a new world format (its coming, just not sorted out yet), as well as some built in world analyzing tools (to make sure your world is healthy, but haven't seen it yet). I know there are community tools to aid in checking your world, but I really think it needs to be built into the server.
