Powerd Redstone wire

Hi, so I'm currently trying to play the step sound effect of redstone wire,

bullet.getWorld().playEffect(bullet, Effect.STEP_SOUND, 55);

problem is, the displayed redstone wire is white.. And I cant seem to find a way to make it red. I belive I need to power it but I dont think there is a way to give it data. If anybody knows anything please let me know, iv seen this done before. Thanks
