I'm just starting up a server for my son. i dont know much about Minecraft servers. We're running 1.6.4 on Windows. The server will be for about 10 people. We want to implement KitPVP. Should this be ran on a separate server or is it ok to run on the same server. I have chatted with an admin of a popular server my son plays on. he didnt give me much detail but sounds like he has multiple servers. Not sure how you link the servers together. Any help will be much appreciated.

I suggest you use multiverse (requires massivecore) and enable the kitpvp plugin for that server world* woops.

Linking servers, as in the concept of teleport to another servrr without relog, requires breaking authentication as well as the server, requiring unofficial builds and will not be supported here.
You should look into setting kitpvp in the same server, or a separate server without "linking", as its not worth it to break the server to spare a few seconds.

Use Multiverse-Core which will allow you to create multiple worlds.

You can then create a world where you only intend on allowing permissions to the kits for that world.

You don't need to use separate servers, especially for just 10 people.

Even if you do need to make separate servers, just use different ports and have 2 entries in the multiplayer list. :)
