Plugin.yml missing?

    Some plugins I've downloaded have told me to do so-and-so with the plugin.yml. Do I have to create this? Because I haven't been able to find it.

    When you put the plugin in you "plugins" folder it should generate a folder with the name of the plugin and in that should contain the .yml. If that doesn't then check if the plugin's developer if they provide a download to the .yml.

    Well, that's true, but there's no plugin.yml in those folders, and some of the plugins that I needed plugin.yml for don't have folders...

    There is not going to be a "plugin.yml" there is going to be a "Nameoftheplugin.yml" if that is no there, then you should see if the developer of the plugin provided a download to one.
