Hello bukkit forum! I have a plug-in request. I am pretty sure it can be made, but since I have only recentley began to learn Java, I am not qualified enough to give it a go myself. So here's the idea; A plug-in which can "reserve" slots for regional IPs. What I mean is, say you have a 30 slot server located in Denmark, and you want an international server, but still keep the Danish community at heart. So with this plug-in you would be able to "reserve" 20 slots for danish IPs and then keep the remaining 10 slots available for non-Danish, international IPs. If anyone is willing to create this plug-in (if it is possible). Feel free to PM me about it also. - ArttuJ
I know there is a geo ip thing out there with what you can check if someone s ip is from a specific country, u can use this , and then do something like: playerjoins serevr>get his ip> if hes ip is danish>then auto connect to server> if server is full then get someone with a non-danish ip> kick that person (fisrt check if he s been afk or somethin) and if the ip isnt danish but the server is full then just dont allows him (this is just a method to give danish people 'vip' rights so they always can join your server if they are danish, but! people can use proxies sooo i dont think this plugin would work properly since everybody knows how to use them) im also new to java but i think this will be easy, just watch some tuts and u will get there! (and btw never give up)
This is the plugin request forum, not the plugin development one. People come here asking for plugins to be made, generally not assistance in making them.
I will try to make this for you. The only thing I can think of is that if someone really and i mean REALLY wants to get on your server they will just route their traffic trough a proxy or VPN that is danish.
Yea, I realise that will be a way to get around it, but I doubt that everyone will go through that. But thank you for giving it a go. Another request would be to add a customizable message for when you won't be able to join.
