Players die when switching worlds?

I have a very small number of players who die after switching to other worlds. We use the latest version of craftbukkit and multiverse. I've deleted their player profiles but that doesn't help. They can play fine in specific worlds but somehow just die when they go into another world. For everyone else, there's no issue. Any ideas?
