PermissionsEx help? Totally puzzled.

My server was working fine up until a restart a couple of days ago.

My friend change a line of code in the Residence plugin and once we'd restarted the server, all permissions were broken. This restart tied in with the 1.4.6 Bukkit update also.

Now I CANNOT get my permissions to work on my server and I've tried literally everything:

- reinstalling perms
- restarting server
- resetting the server
- uninstalling all plugins and reinstalling
- reverting back to an old world
- re-writing my perms

nothing!


groups:
pink:
default: true
permissions:
- modifyworld.chat
blue:
default: false
permissions:
- modifyworld.*
red:
default: false
permissions:
- '*'


They're super basic permissions as we're not running any plugins on the server at the moment.
But basically:

- Pink gets chat until promoted
- Blue can build in the world
- Red is admin.


Does anyone have any idea what's going on with my Permissions? And why my users can't do anything unless they're an op?
