Plugin Help PermissionsEx doesn't work at all

    I put permissionsEx in my plugins folder I start it and then text the command /pex tells me the version and when I try anything else it wont let me because I don't have permission. So I stop the server and set up the permissions. When I restart it it doesn't work it says unknown command. I have tried so many different versions of the plugin to no avail. I have never had trouble with it before. I saw somewhere that some bukkit versions aren't dupported by PermissionsEx somewhere. Is that true? I am so lost. I even tried a making a server with just PermissionsEx and it still broke the second start. I am so lost.
