One player can't see chat or speak

    On my server, one of the players can't see other people chat or chat himself. I can talk with him via private messaging, but he can't see just general chat. Does anyone know what's wrong? He can chat just fine on other servers! The only chat-related plugin we're running is irctransport.

    EDIT: The server is running Mac OS X server 10.6.7
