Hey so i need some ideas for something players on my server would want to spend there IG money on so that they actually have a desire to gain more IG money.
Well we have the shops and the shops sell everything that you could get in a kit......I was more along the lines looking for something like a lottery [which we have] were players want to buy tickets because there is a chance to win something nice [ex. money] but we want something that players want to do that they wont get bored of easily and would want to spend money on money to do. A mob arena is a good example of this that rewards them with items other then money but we have pvp arenas and we felt that a mob arena wouldnt appeal to our pve audience as much as something else along those lines.........
Yeah thats a good idea too we talked about that and we might do that as well but then after that there is no desire to save money or anything because there are no ranks to spend it on...........
Well there are other fun things you could do, for instance paying $1000 gets you access to a mineral rich world for 1 hour.
Haha i like that idea unfortuatly mutliple words = start of lag city but you gave us a great idea to charge for access to the nether and end! Thank you good sir. Keep the ideas coming though we still are throwing around ideas!
blazen988 btw this is not the correct place for this thread, it belongs in bukkit discussion. Also multiple worlds doesn't mean lag, what causes lag is loaded chunks, so if you have 5 chunks loaded per player and no players share chunks, then if one person moves worlds you still have 5 chunks per player.
Ahh yeah i didnt know really were to put this so i just threw it in here and yeah but it does take more to keep multiple worlds loading at the same time even if just 3 chunks are loaded on one world and 2 on another....
This has not been my experience (I may be wrong though no expert). The only way I can see one world being more efficent is shared chunks, chunks 2 people are in and so if one were in a difference world you have to load another chunk. But back to the topic at hand, how about bounty system (only if your serv is pvp) where every week players bid on who the person to kill is and anyone who kills that person gets in game money.
Yeah our server isn't open PVP just in the arenas so it wouldn't work out to well. Our server has pvp arenas in it to please those who want to mainly pvp instead of build and gather stuff and the rest of the world is survival (nopvp) for those that dont want to pvp.
Yush, add a shop, you can convince people to trade items for Ingame money, Sometimes rich people in the server, can sell donator ranks for a lot of aria to players, you know da basics :3
I'm currently writing a script which players can sign into our website and login with there server login (AuthMe; Yes I run a cracked server but I bought MC so please get off my dick). Then they can buy items with in-game currency and the items are sent to their player. They can also buy 1 month of donorship with ingame money. This is all written with PHP and MySQL.
Yes, but there is this thing called paying. Why would I buy something when I can make it for myself? Plus this uses PLAYER ECONOMY and buys in-game items rather than it being donations.
........buycraft is free http://buycraft.net/ and you can set it up to use player economy as well just make them type the command and make it take away the money in game from them and give them the items. Super easy to do
