Multiverse Portal - Cannot fill portal, etc.

My player complained that he cannot put water on his plot, and when I checked it keeps saying cannot fill portal, it needs a width or depth of 1. w:[456] d:[5858]. There are no portals under the ground, and there are no portals especially around him, he's also not making a portal and is just making a simple farm. Please help
