    This section is to clarify the config, It is recommended to use a program such as notepad++​
    to edit the config(makes things easier).​

    You will need get a link to the direct file (dropbox for example), NOT MediaFire or MegaUpload or or anything like that!

    Next just simple paste the link onto the desired world
    Setting Default-off to true will disable default texturepacks.
    If any errors pop up just mess around with the spacing(if using notepad++ make sure each is on its own line.) That's it if you have any other questions don't be afraid to ask!​

    That is out of the scpoe of this plugin ,but
    it seems like a interesting idea I might look into making it a seperate plugin.

    Cool; yeah, I figured it was probably a little unrelated, but similar enough that you might be interested. There is a particular texture+audio pack combo I'd love to make use of, and if you really are interested enough to try creating another plugin for that purpose, you might be able to use it for testing methinks:

    Hey, good plugin.

    Is it also possible, if you have installed a webserver-plugin, that the packs are downloaded from this one?
    Then you could name the textures like your worlds/regions and if a player changes the world/region, the texture pack named like it is automatically downloaded from a preset folder on the bukkit webserver.

    I mean, if you create a new world called "world2", you would have to (manually) add this new world to the config file.
    With this addition, you would only have to upload a new pack /textures/worlds/ and the players would download it WITHOUT making changes to the config, reloading server and all!

    Are region based textures in the works by now ? :D
    I guess you would use worldguard bases regions ?

    We will use your plugin soon, switching to spout-only ;)

    Yes, sorry it is in the works. School has just started up for me will be working on it more now!

    Should i use my own region system(or something besides worldgaurd) or just require worldguard for regions?

    It would be the best to use worldguard since most of the people use it.
    And (not sure) you probably don't have to code that much using it. (also got an api)

    Would be great if you could instead approve specified texture packs so they have options instead of forced to use one. That way we can isolate the ones we dont want used

    Just wondering has anyone got this working for 1.8.1 spout dev builds?

    Craftbukkit version: #1185
    Spout Server: 1.1.372
    Spout Client:
    Using default minecraft texture pack.

    Configure file:
    Use-Permissions: true
    Default-off: false
    Use-LoadingTexturePack: true
    I get

    but as I enter server, nothing is downloaded nor texture pack ever changes (did idle over 20 minutes). I have tried to clear configure and only changes URLĀ“s, using bot dropbox and my webserver (chmod to 755 and even 777 for lulz) but nothing. I think first time I got some message, but didnt do anything and I tried to re-install plugin, spout and even minecraft itself, set both loading and default to true, false and switching true/false value s in each restart for all options (as op or normal guest player) but nothing works. What could I be doing wrong?

    EDIT: If i leave the config at default it works and it changes texture pack to the one in there but the texture pack is incomplete

    That is an error on your end, make sure that the zip folder is the thing you download straight. Make sure that its not in a folder or something.

    I dont see any problem with the texturedspout 1.3.1 on the new spout and bukkit Recommended builds. If you have a specific problem just tell me and I will fix it.

    Do you still have this problem on the new spout plugin recommended build? #381

    I believe the problem was cause by spoutcraft client, but my testing shows its fixed.

    i'm looking forward to the per region tp's, this would be awesome.
    do you plan to readout the resolution the user uses and choose an qual res texturepack for that special region?

  20. I don't generally use Dropbox. So when I followed the link, it asked me to sign in.

    I assume that it's asking Minecraft to sign in, so effectively TexturedSpout is seeing a .html file instead of a .zip.

    If something else goes wrong, right click on your file in public dropbox then hit get the public link.

    I mean i guess i can do it, but i don't think it is very hard to install and get working.

    I also seem to be having an impossible time getting this working. Limited bukkit to only have this plugin and spout, am at 1185 for the build, have a link, and it even downloads the file, but the texture pack is never actually changed. have tried every setting I can(which is only like three anyway) and all variations but it just doesn't set the texture pack.

    It is most likely that the texturepack is weirdly organized.

    Considering I tried about a dozen different packs using various hosts, and even tried the default in there I doubt that's the issue, I gave up on it anywho, i dont even know what release to bother hosting the server on now anyway.

    Version 1.4 is almost done, which will add reseting of texturepacks and command to reload config through command.

    Just wanted to let you know fugos, the spiolers (the little blue dropdown boxes) have a duplicate.
    Above the 'Config Explanation' spioler, is an empty one with the same name. Same for the 'Changlog!'.
    Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.
