Is there any way to make it so that players are not always crouched over? That is quite unappealing on my roleplaying server, but I would love to not be able to see the names over peoples heads for a more in depth roleplaying experience.

If you use the plugins BukkitContrib (for the API) and PlayerEditor (for the implementation) and have all your players add BukkitContribSP to their minecraft.jar, you can edit the SQLite database and set each player title to be empty. The only issue is that it's 1) extremely tedious and only works if all players have it installed 2) There's still a small translucent rectangle that shows above each players head, though this isn't a problem if it's not PvP.

I'm sticking to HeroSneak for now unless I can find a Bukkit API section for hiding nametags or sneaking without the effect showing.

Anyone tested with CB1000? I would love for someone to remake this. Our RP server needs it.

Are there any plans to update to 1000? This is exactly what I need on my PVP server.

Is there any chance to let the name over the head dissappear completly?

Sorry; the current version works fine in RB 1000, I just haven't updated the post. Recent improvements have made it a lot more efficient, too. =)

@Moe041991: Sorry, without a change to notchcode, I don't believe that is possible.

I'm not sure I understand how to do this. Both of my other plugins are supported by it, and it appears that the owner requests a static jar-only plugin link? HeroSneak has had that forever, this is a static link to the jar only: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1131502/HeroSneak/plugins/HeroSneak.jar

I saw something about adding it to his database manually, but in order to do that I would need to have an entry in his dropdown for HeroSneak and I'd need to have a token.

EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.

Thank you very much for sharing your findings! I was just about to update my thread with internal results, good to know someone "in the wild" can also confirm it. =)

Im looking to switch to bpermissions/PEX - bukkit permissions, very soon as opposed to permissions 3.1.6
Wondering if this plugin works with it? Sorry If I missed it on the first page.

Interestingly enough I just got another request of this nature on one of my other plugins, so I'll give you the same answer I gave him. First, I want to wait a little while and see if that standard hangs around, because typically attempts to be the new Permissions have failed and resulted in fractured user bases. Then, if it does stick around, I'll need to learn the new API to see how to hook in my plugin.

It shouldn't be complicated, so if the community shifts to Bukkit permissions, I'll switch too.

Do you just want it to toggle off when they change world, or do you want that world to be a no-sneak zone?

    G'day SquallSeeD31,
Absolutely AWESOME Plugin, Just a suggestion though, do you think you could add permission for herosneak.off (or something) so that when someone ENTERS a world with that permission it will automatically turn herosneak off because at the moment when someone turns it on in one world it stays on in all others.
    Thanks In Advance :D

I have; it's just in testing. If you'd like to try it on your own server, you can try this indev version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1131502/HeroSneak/DEV/HeroSneak.jar

If you do, all I ask is that you please let me know the result and which CB version you tested it on. =)
