    PipeHead - VoxelSniper is by and large our most active development on the server, already it has newer features than the release and przerwap seems to be in a snowball effect in his production of more, our plans are to move the VoxelSniper plugin over to bukkit based permissions once those have been implimented officially by the bukkit team. Permissions are definitely planned for the future, but for now VoxelSniper comes with it's own .txt document for you to enable or disable players from it's use.

    Permissions for VoxelMore is also planned; but bear in mind, we are developing primarily for our free-build server and like-type setups, so that will usually come first for our releases. Thanks for checking out the plugin!

    Lovely, lovely tool. I love the spawning of cloth, makes life easier. Just a question, will you be releasing any more Voxel tools? Such as Voxel Port? Or are those private only to your server?

    The filming for VoxelPort was completed recently by our admin Plusnine and I anticipate a release of the VoxelPort plugin in the very near future.

    As soon as some bugs in bukkit are ironed out we will also see the release of VoxelDoop, a close cousin to VoxelMore... but that's all I'll say for now.

    Does your plugin support leaf block types? (pine and birch leaves?)

    At the moment, I don't think it does. We have built that functionality into VoxelSniper. I am sure we will add leaf support in the next version, It should be really simple. I'll add that to my notes. Thanks!

    Gosh, that is very strange -- I can't think of a reason why leaf blocks would behave differently for you. I will definitely look into it with Ridgedog this evening.

    We finished our data-variable painting brush for VoxelSniper (hopefully releasing the big update for that today that works on current Bukkit versions) and I can confirm that it was able to change leaftypes on the fly without a hitch, and the mechanisms used with VoxelMore and Sniper are very similar. I will keep you (and George) posted on what we come up with and if we had to devise any workarounds to get things going.

    So I've looked into the matter further -- VoxelMore CAN duplicate and create alternate leaf blocks, but it seems Bukkit currently doesn't recognize placement of the different leaf block types, which is causing them to revert to being default leaf blocks once placed (kind of like it was doing with cloth the other day). VoxelSniper can edit the leaf blocks directly because it edits the map itself, not anything having to do with the player. The good news is, as soon as Bukkit fixes the leaf block issue, VoxelMore will be ready for it. I would not be surprised to find that ClothColor will also magically start to function, as well!

    could you add permissions support? with that I would rather general users have pick due to hard to get/find resources, but not more. You can make it so that it isn't dependent on permissions. If you have any questions please ask me!

    short answer: we're working on it.

    long answer: we will be updating all of our plugins to future versions of bukkit. i can't say when. we evaluate our server setup thoroughly when we decide to upgrade what we're running (latest is not always greatest), and with the massive changes that have rolled out post-build 170, we are choosing to delay upgrading until we know how to develop the things we want to accomplish. the priority for us is keeping uptime high for our server's talented builders, so updating for every build of an volatile project like bukkit is not the cards: we are not paid for anything we do, our server accepts no donations, and we all have spouses, school and/or jobs to attend to.

    currently we are focusing our plugin development hours toward voxelsurvival, which will allow servers to run areas of creative building and vanilla/monter/fire/tnt-friendly areas for survival play.

    note to voxelmore users: you can use the /pick command on the half-step (item 44) to get wood, sandstone and cobble half-steps!
