This is a pretty basic plugin where there is a custom percentage chance of a food dropping from a leaf by breaking it or leaf decay. All foods are avaiable.​

Command + Permission Nodes:

I added a command in the last update:

/ft reload

This command reload the plugin from in-game so you don't have to reload/restart your whole server everytime! So next time you edit your config file just go ahead and do /ft reload to reload it and get your plugin working easily!

This is what the config will look like first time when you run the plugin,here by DEFAULT each food has a 100 percent chance of falling but notice there is an option for droping NOTHING as-well. Here you can put 0 infront of a food you do not want to drop and put the rest a lower number than the number for nothing. It basically uses the ratio beteween each to find the percentage.

Meaning if you have everything as 0,nothing as 10 and apples as 1. There is a 1 in 10 chance of dropping an apple.

please tell me what you think also keep in mind that this would be very useful in 1.8 so if you are low on hunger trees may save the day!

Is it possible you could add a value to the config.yml to change the drop rate? 10% doesn't sound like much, but I have the plugin "ChopTree" as well, and if you knock a large tree down, you'll end up getting a LOT of apples.. like 8+. I'd rather the drop rate be in the range of 2 to 4 percent. Otherwise I really like it and appreciate your work.

 

yes i actually have planned on that should be out with the update of upgrading to recommended build.If recommended isnt out by next week ill update it with the percentage in config and thanks for the feedback

This works great. I only use it to have apples drop from leaves since food is becoming harder to get for users with the animal spawning (or lack thereof) of 1.8. The only thing I wish would be configurable though is the drop rate. 10% sounds like it isn't a lot, but with the amount of leaves on all the trees that get chopped down, that quickly leads to a lot of apples, and apples heal 5 hunger each. That makes a bit of overkill. If there was a way to tweak drop rate or heal rate of the foods dropped, that would be great.

 

im actually working on it as of this moment should be out on next update keep an eye out for it!

 

You might consider allowing us to edit the percentage of when they will drop. It would be good!

To be honest I haven't used your mod because on my server we have a melon farm...it gives us about 3 stacks of melon every 30 minutes. We cant finish eating them!!!

 

lol haha thats funny ye i made this plugin for my server actually and still using it and talking about the config file for percentage ive actually got it ready just some errors and bugs with it should be out soon

nice plugin all my friend does on here is chop trees for cookies. rofl.. (i set the config for cookies to drop 100% of the time)
