ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

if i start itemcraft with an higher craftbukkit version than 860 itemcraft works but all the other plugins arent working anymore. Is this normal?

Distribution of the minecraft.jar is against Notch's EULA and, therefore, naughty no-no.
For Mo' Creatures you need the GUIAPI as well - I don't see that listed in your post. Make sure to read the Mo' Creatures OP carefully for full set of requirements. You will hang or crash if everything isn't installed.

As has been stated half a dozen times in this thread, yes, anything above 910 or so screws with other Bukkit plugins. As with any plugin, use the RB stated in the title of the thread (in this case, [860]) for optimal (or any) performance.

This needs to be in giant red letters between every single post made on this thread.

I've some problems with porting a mod:
I don't understand how to do it... where is the startup? where must i write the codes?
And changing the ids for some mods... how?
Can someone explain it please or port me this mod? I need it, please its very important!

I hope someone can help me right now...

    Greez Albic

If someone help me very fast i could think about a little rewar (only for porting the mod)

uhh you dont load the Itemcraft.jar like any plugins you have to start it from the scratched build from the SNAPSHOT.jar for of craftbukkit... according to the videos you need to delete the META-INF folder inside the SNAPSHOT.jar put in itemcraft in a folder along with the modified SNAPSHOT then use the loader provided on the code above

There is a link in the OP of this thread to a poll being done for mod porting suggestions. I'm not sure if I replied to you the first time you asked in this thread for this mod, so I'll point it out this time with twice the intensity. Ooooh.

dude i got gui api too but it just keep saying "connecting to the server" i tiren my hamachi ip , my lan ip , my wan ip , "localhost" , and even ( Samething) nothing helps

AND everything is installed , any idea ? :)
  8. Not sure if you've tried it, but if you click HERE, and near the bottom of the page is a much simplified way of building your client up ! You will need a clean minecraft.jar to do it though.

It is likely an ID conflict - you probably have more mods installed on your client than you need to run Itemcraft - if you have, then it is likely that one of the mods is using an ID that conflicts with the Itemcraft mods.

    the update to 1.7?
  11. Offline

This is probably going to take a while to update to 1.7. I'm no coder, but I'm betting the wait to get this to 1.7 is less based on asgaard's work on ItemCraft proper as it is waiting for all the SSP mod makers that he's made subplugins for to update *their* shit to 1.7. He can't do any work on FancyPack, Mo' Creatures etc until they have their projects in order first. Once that's finished and given the ModloaderMP business is hashed out, then worry about an update. The amount of work he's put into this project is enormous, so please be patient (and not in a "come back later today and ask again" sort of way either). Until then it's recommended you stay on MC1.6.6, RB860.

Anyone in the know, please, correct me if I'm wrong.

First, make sure you're installing Mo' Creatures properly - the files in the 'mods' folder go unzipped into the minecraft.jar and everything in the 'resources' folder in the mod package merges with the 'resources' folder in your \.minecraft directory. Don't stick the 'resources' folder in the Mo' Creatures archive into your minecraft.jar! A lot of people mess that up.

If that doesn't fix things, I'd start with a clean minecraft.jar and run the MCPatcher. Then add in Modloader, AudioMod, GUIAPI, 16-bit Entity fix and Mo' Creatures (in that order). If you use TMI or Optimine put those in there after Modloader. If Mo' Creatures is all your server runs, ONLY add these listed mods and don't pile other stuff in there yet. Once done, close your zip up and try a NEW single-player world. If that works and you see your new mobs spawning, your client is done properly. Now, try connecting to your server the way you usually do. If you still can't connect then it's a server-side issue, and would be safest to start with a fresh Bukkit RB860 install to be safe. If you *can* connect, then you know whatever else you were doing to your client is the culprit, and should be avoided unless you want to experiment and find out exactly what the issue is. At that point, make a backup of your working minecraft.jar and add in mods one by one until you find what makes your connection go poof.

Finally, and this is just to clarify (I know you said you used local IPs etc), if this is a server that's being run on the same PC as the client, localhost or works. If it's a separate LAN PC for client and server use its local IP ( for example). If it's a remote server I recommend registering for free domain names - DynDNS is a good one to start with.

You're right about the update xeronut. It could take a moment for asdaarg to update ItemCraft. But it will be done. Don't worry and just be patient. ;)

If your using Windows, you can right click and select "Restore Previous Versions", and if it has a previous version available, click "Copy" and your set.

Its not guaranteed to have another version available, but its real easy to check on at least.

Delete the \bin folder in your \.minecraft folder and run Minecraft again - you'll get a clean 1.6.6 .jar that way. Sharing the minecraft.jar is against Notch's.. ahh fuck it, read the first line of this post, located on THIS PAGE.
  16. No he won't -
    No he won't, he'll get a 1.7_02 version.

    dear xeronut

i had removed .minecraft folder properly , then updated it (downloaded lwjgl.rar and other files) then it automatically showed .minecraft folder in roaming/appdata...
(in patch 1.7) , then i had downloaded the original bin of 1.6.6 and replaced it there , it runs nice and no errors , i move mod loader 1.6.6 , deleted meta-inf folder , i did the same to api gui , audio mod , and the same for zhark mo creatures's TFC files , and moved the recources to .minecraft folder and the same to mod folder as they say , it works fine in single player but whenever i connect to the server it shows nothing just background of the game then it comes to a black screen and says "yourname has been disconnected and i cant connect , and on other server it WORKS , i got nice internet speed (doesnt matter) , i dont know why thats keep black screen , ow and installed the 16 ( file) and all that must be in the minecraft.jar , any idea

ok i'm still getting the same issue following this guide and using these files on a clean 1.6.6 jar (modded obviously, but started fresh)

Can somebody else please follow this guide and once your up and running (which it all works fine up until this point) join your own server, and try smelting some iron and then placing the ingots onto the crafting table. it crashes every single time for me and i really don't know what i can do about it.

Please help me! i'm getting so frustrated :(

edit: just to clarify, it's only the client that crashes, not the server.
  23. Can you post the error when your client crashes please ?

thanks anyway, but i gave up with it. as much as i loved all these mods (it was amazing, my players loved it too) I just cannot be dealing with nonsensical issues i cannot solve, players were getting quite frustrated and i tried multiple fixes including complete fresh jars for every single player. the only conclusion i can come to is that the actual tutorial files, must have a bad file in there somewhere which causes the crash.

I've gone back to vanilla now, thanks a lot anyway though

if a problem, if i try to destroy a block from stained glass ord FancyPack, the block gets one hit an dissapers after 1 second its again there... how can i remove this bug?

    Greez Albic
  29. Its not a bug - this needs Stainedglass ver 1.5 to run. If you are using a newer version, there are conflicts, hence the problem you have.

Add bukkit 953 support! 1.7 already realised, and many servers needs this plugin, but for 953. Or Close Thread by [Inactive]-tag
