    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

  4. It is most likely then that server and client ID's don't match, and since there is no config available, it is most likely that the version you are using on your client for Stained glass is different to the one on the server.
    The server was based on the Stained Glass version 1.5, so thats the version you need to install on your client for it to work.

    with "modloaderMP for bukkit" do i still use itemcraft with it or??? i know how to install both just not shure if both need to installed or not

  6. At the moment, I've spent over an hour trying to get them to work together - not succeeded yet, however, eventually only 1 plugin will be needed, not 2, so I may be trying for nothing. I'm not sure how much updating will be done at the moment with MC 1.7 just around the corner.

    Can you tell us exactly where you are stuck?

    Actually I was just looking into it today. As far as I can tell so far there are lots and lots of class files, but the main class file has most the errors the others have very few(some don't have any and just need pointers). But since patch 1.7 is around the corner and I'm sure there will be bug fix patches after I think I will wait a little longer before I jump into it more. I think there is a poll on which mod asdaarg is porting next.

    That sounds perfectly fine. To be honest "Better Than Wolves" is really the only SSP Mod I want on my SMP server. It's also one of the few mods (Other then Pistions) I want to be added to the game. Lol (Other then the "Lets kill all Wolves" part.)

    Puzzlingly, none of my regular Bukkit plugins seem to want to run presently along with Itemcraft. Itemcraft plugins all appear to work fine, but Movecraft, Essentials, etc. etc. etc. are all non-functional. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hey, was wondering what the story is on fancypack for smp? It says above that it doesn't work, but some people appear to have it working and of course there is the updated version. Just hoping for some clarification on whether it works and how?

    After Following the MCmyadmin install instructions Server produces this error.

    no folder is created for Itemcraft and the server does not appear to be running Itemcraft either.

    now I can only assume I have either set something up wrong or have assumed that the txt file
    inside MCmyadmin/addon's folder was incorrect when it stated you no longer need to mod the Server.jar file.

    Also I suspect MCmyadmin keeps updating craftbukkit to the lattest edition but there are no server messages stating so and i can't find a config file setting that say it will autoupdate. ( as i was writing this) I unloaded a pluggin for Craftbukkit updater wondering if that was auto-updating craftbukkit but still no luck i get the same error even when i have craftbukkit 860 installed and it no longer is updating CB either. I tried searching but with this type of java error i got alot of varried results for what was wrong and not all of them were related to Itemcraft. My goal is just to get Mo Creatures running to use in conjunction with MineQuest for a MMO type server.

    Newest recommended build, 935. Is that apt to be the origin of the problem?
    I also notice I can run it with the itemcraft .cmd with meta-inf deleted, but not with the regular bukkit startup .cmd. Not sure if this is new, or even related.

    Um, not sure I can do much better as far as the tutorial he has up top, but I shall try.

    1. Back up your worlds, just in case something goes wrong.

    2. Download the current version of ItemCraft.jar and put it in same folder as your craftbukkit.jar

    3. Open up both your ItemCraft.jar and your Craftbukkit.jar with and zip program(winzip,winrar)

    4. In both of them you should see some folders and files. First take the plugin.yml and license.txt from Itemcraft.jar and drag and drop that into the Craftbukkit.jar

    5. Next in the Itemcraft.jar you will see a folder called com, click the com folder to see another folder called asdaarg. In the Craftbukkit.jar click the same folder, the com folder. Drag and drop the asdaarg folder from the Itemcraft.jar com folder to the Craftbukkit.jar com folder.

    6. Then next folder in the Itemcraft.jar to click is the net folder, inside the net folder is the mincraft folder and inside that folder is the server folder. Inside the server folder you will see a bunch of class files. Take the same path in the craftbukkit.jar net folder to minecraft folder to server folder. Drag and drop all the class files in the Itemcraft.jar server folder in the craftbukkit.jar server folder.

    7. The last folder to click in the Itemcraft.jar will be the org folder, which will have a folder called bukkit with a lonely class file inside. Take the same route in the craftbukkit.jar org to bukkit folder and then drag and drop the class file from the Itemcraft.jar into the craftbukit.jar bukkit folder.

    8. Lastly in your Craftbukkit.jar there is a META-INF folder, delete that.

    9. Now with the META-INF folder deleted you cannot run your server because it will be considered corrupt by the bat file you use to run your server to get around this you need to create another bat file.

    To do this you need to open notepad(some text editor) and enter one of the two codes listed on the first post this one is for windows.
    java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    Where it says craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar that is the name of your craftbukkit.jar so if it is named differently than this rename that part in the code.

    Ok the next part is saving it, name it whatever you want(something different that your original .bat file) I name mine run2.bat. Make sure when you save the file it has .bat at the end.
    This .bat of course goes into the same folder as your craftbukkit.jar.

    10. Now run your server with the new bat file, it will give you some error saying some random stuff and saying press something to continue. After that loads your server full stop your server. Now you should have a folder called Itemcraft with a couple of folders in it and another file.

    The IC plugins such as ICMCreatures or ICPotions go into ICPlugins folder which is located in the Itemcraft folder. Downloads are on the first post for these.

    In the ICScript folder in the Itemcraft folder you have two files; oldscript.ic(oldscript.ic might not be there) and plugins.ic. Open up plugins.ic and you will see a bunch of things like

    ## Uncomment Plugins you want to use:
    #"ICFancyPack.jar" plugin

    Here you should take away the # in front of the mod you will be using. (start with one please)
    After your done editing(edit in notepad or something)save that.

    11. Now what ever mod you have chosen you need to install that mod as you would normally for single player. Say if your installing Mo' Creatures because you chose to test ICMCreatures first. You need to have all the mods that Mo'Creatures has and you also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod linked in the first post.

    12. Now start your server.

    This was all off the top of my head please tell me if I missed something. Yes I was to lazy to just recreate it as I typed this out.(typed this out twice had 13 steps the first time..hmm)

    Important info to remember:

    All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed.
    All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod in case you use new entites ( like ICMCreatures needs this mod)

    Well the title does say build 860. I have not tried to run it with 935, because well it just came out and that build will also be obsolete in the near future because the patch thursday for mincraft. Alse, the .cmd? You mean the .bat? Also did you try this plugin before you updated and did it work fine?

    Uh, think we are waiting for the new integration with another thing like this. So, it will make porting mods to craftbukkit a lot easier.

    I DO mean the .bat, sorry. I will attempt a rollback to 860 and just see what happens. Update probably to come shortly in this post.

    Update as promised: Yup, I should have just actually, y'know, paid attention to the version number given in the title of the thread, it appears. My apologies! Well then. Let it be noted that using it with bukkit 935 causes it to fail to load other plugins - for what relatively little that matters. Might need to fix that come the post-1.7 bukkit versions though, unless whatever is causing this straightens itself out.

    I checked using /version, and it said craftbukkit null 1.6.6

    I think its around 818

    When you download bukkit from the site it will say which build it is before you download it. That is the number I'm looking for. Use 860 for this plugin if you redownload it.
