    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    So just downloaded the 1.4.3 version today got an error saying that the config file isn't up to date did a fresh install of it all still complained so I ignored it. But later on someone logs on to my server and this fairly long error comes up about minecarts and birds and lags the server and boots everyone off. I had to turn off ICMCreatures go to that area where the person logged in. Then restart the server with it turned back on for it to return to normal. It was fairly odd all he did was build some lava surrounded by glass. And I guess a bird fell in it? not sure. Here is there error:

    What did you do so you actually had something translated? With me it is still unable to find the corresponding .java files, but they are there. They do exist O.O

    EDIT: Just to be sure, I tried putting the java files in the same folder as the mod files, but no luck. I do not understand why ICTranslator can not find the files, even though they're clearly there.

    Is the "Does not work well and not at all with the newest FancyPack update(v6)" warning related to the potted plants? I have FancyPack (the previous version) running fine though I haven't tried to use potted plants, but everything else works fine, even the clay decorations and road block speedup (though the latter seems sporadic)

    Finally managed to completly port my Testmod. :)
    Ill make a extensive Tutorial this Evening when i have Time.
    I think i will try to port simple Mods first. Its no use starting with complex things when you still learn the Basics. :p

    Hey guys
    I got a big problem with DrZhark's Mo's Creatures mod.

    I set up my server and everything worked. minecraft days have pased and everything was ok.
    But now there are only rabbits and no other animals anymore. If i start my server it lags like shit and if im killing the rabbits they go on spawning like hell.

    I downloaded the "oldscript.ic" and the "plugin.ic" which should fix the rabbit spawns, but im not sure if it will help my laagy server.

    Is there a way to clear my current world from any Mobs or do i have to make a new world with the fixed spawn rates ?

    I put the oldscript.ic in my Itemcraft/ICplugins folder and the plugin.ic in my Itemcraft/ICScript folder, is that right ?

    You have to start the server without the mod first, so all the animals from Mo' Creatures are gone, then you can add it back into the server, with the oldscript.ic etc. working.

    Use the old Script Syntax and set Bunnie Spawnrate to 0.
    To get rid of the Bunnies you have simply deactivate the Plugin and start the Server. All MoCreatures Entities will be deleted. Then start the Plugin new with Bunny Spawnrate 0.

    Could you tell how you managed to get an output? With me ICTranslate.jar can not find the .java files. But they're clearly there and it is quite annoying actually.

    I had this Problem too. I had to install Java JDK and used one of the translate.bats. As there are different Versions i dont know which one works for you.

    I am going to succeed but i have a last problem : what to do you want we do at the step: Reference the libraries the ItemCraft and Craftbukkit jars.?

    I use NetBeans so i can only tell how you can add itemcraft and bukkit as reference there.

    Heres a Tutorial (note this is only for NetBeans):
    1. Right Click on your Project.
    2. Click Properties
    3. Choose Category "Libraries"
    4. Add Itemcraft.jar and Bukkit.jar with the "Add jar/folder" Button
    5. Done


    Just rightclick on libraries in your project. The add jar/folder option is there too.

    As is aid ill be making a Tutorial on the Wiki about the compiling Process thius Evening.

    @olympe: What did you do with the nested classes? Didnt figure out if they are needed or not. Or how to handle them.

    Yeah, I already have the corresponding versions installed on my computer. But this problem is not the translate.bat, now is it? It is ICTranslate which can not find the .java files. Or does the translate.bat not create proper .java files so they can not be found or something? But that would be quite weird...

    Im trying to port a Mod now and all i can say: The Hard Part begins with finding the many Errors that are still there.
    Sometimes i think ill have my first Mod Ported when im retired. :p

    XD it will never finish. I upload all the files of my itemcraft plugin. I want someone convert it into .class files because i fail and i don't know how to do this. After i will have just to make the .jar and i hope it will work, if not i will ask Asdaarg what's wrong.

    I would advise not to use any Pluginrelated stuff like Superpickaxe on SSPMod Items.

    Actually with NetBeans you can do the 2 Steps (making classes and jar) together.
    Just rightclick on your Project and click on Build. The jar should be in your project in the folder "dist"
    I had a quick look. Your files wont work for example in the Mod file you have to change this:
    public mod_Microcubes()

    to this:

    public void ItemCraftInit(MinecraftServer ms)

    But theres alot more you have todo. The files wont compile until all Errors are gone.
    Im trying to figure it out myself right now. But im so far now i9 wont give up. :p

    Edit: All i managed so far is getting TileEntityMultiMicrocube to compile Error free.

    Igive up it's to complicated for me. if somebody wants to continue what i have done to port microcube he can do this. It is a HUGE mods and simple to port i thnik so if anybody can do this it will be heaven XD.
