    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    It sounds like you have an issue installing the client-side mods.
    I run a mod pack for my server citizens, and what I have them do first is patch a clean minecraft.jar with MCPatcher, HD Textures and Fonts only. Once that's completed, the first mod you should put in is ModLoader. Then I usually drop in the 'utility' mods - AudioMod, GUIAPI, 16-bit entity mod, any minimap mods you have (I <3 Zan's) or TooManyItems if you use it, then Optimine/Fog/LSOD fixes - basically, all the prerequisites each mod states on their respective pages. Finally, start dropping in the auxiliary mods that add items and blocks, any order. Once that's completed, you should be good to go. I do things in that order because Modloader and Optimine/Fog share a .class file, and with repetition being the mother of habit future modding gets easier if a certain format is adhered to. I've had no issues with my or anyone else's mod packs since.

    For reference, make sure your server has all the latest Bukkit plugins and you're using the latest client-side versions of the mods EXCEPT FANCYPACK - use Version 5, not 6, of FancyPack. Lots of issues with that one, which will get fixed in due time. Hope this helps!

    PS: All Animals spawn every reconnection at another place. Horse don't eat wheat or bread, but the liddle once grow after giving them a peace of wheat but they don't eat it. (Number didn't reduce, only for 0.5sec and than jump to the old one)

    "Millenaire NPC Village" Got coins in items, and you get coins by selling other items to the shopkeeper, but this is only for ssp currently.

    I'm not sure the npc's could be converted to smp, Maybe it would be easier to make new npcs with one of the plugins that already exists.

    You should also keep in mind that asdaarg is not making any own items, just converting mods, and what I've seen there is just Dungeon Craft that is making items directly compatible with item craft.

    BUT I just can't find any video or tutorial on how the other mods in itemcraft work???? any help here guys:(

    When someone was able to port a mod sucessfully, please let me know how to setup the compile process correctly. I dont know what files to put where.
    You have to setup bukkit and itemcraft as reference somehow. But what that means i dont know. Just put the class files in special folders? Or java files?

    I installed the cliente and server part of MOCreatures. Offline mode works perfectly but in online mod, there is no aquatic creatures. And the server says that there isn't an additional item.(e.g.: Horse saddle;Whip)
    What should i do?

    Assuming you're using Win7:
    1) Use the version of craftbukkit listed in the title, and try renaming it to 'craftbukkit.jar'. Make sure the rename is reflected in your run.bat.
    2) Delete the 'META-INF' file in your craftbukkit.jar file
    3) Use the latest versions of the serverside plugins.
    4) Run the server with only ItemCraft once, then after server has generated folders and config files, stop the server and place plugins where they need to be. Don't forget to uncomment what mods you want to use in the config files.
    5) Run server again.
    6) Mod your client-side minecraft.jar - here's a short tutorial.
    7) ???
    8) tl;dr

    Been using this method since what, 1.0? Worked every time. Isn't this in the OP?

    Read the OP - these issues and more are discussed there in detail. Before you post about horses not working properly either - that's in there too.

    I've got slopes working but just so I know do the other mods work at all? Slopes works perfectly (thank you!) I have fancypack and trees installed but they only work on single player, the trees don't appear in my multi world and I can't craft anything on fancypack, it appears for half a second when I assemble it in the craftbench and then disappears.

    If you use the latest ICFancyPack.jar for ItemCraft and Update 5 for the FancyPack (NOT 6) it works perfectly. Trees won't 'work' for you until a new chunk is generated in your world - they don't just appear. For best results use a new world to test trees. Also, make sure you are aware of the itemID conflict between Slopes and Trees - it's discussed at length in the OP. So long as you have all the prereqs for the mods installed on the client side and the latest plugins for ItemCraft installed - with the mods uncommented in the config file so IC knows to use them - then you should be OK.

    Mo' Creatures works with a few glitches - also detailed in the OP - and Stained Glass does too, without a hitch. Been running them with no crashes or random errors for a good while now. This plugin just keeps getting better :D

    Thanks for this wonderful plugin, Asdaarg! However, I have a problem using ICTranslator. When I run translateMCP.bat I get the same error as Masterfenrir, it creates a minecraft_rg.jar but no files in the folder java. When I type jar in commandline, it says that it is not a command or something ._. . I have JDK version 6. Would be happy if someone could help me! :)

    Because of the different ways in which java can be installed on Windows, its been difficult to set up a perfectly working bat file - so, try one of these HERE and HERE

    Try reading THIS post - it will give you what you want - settings for Creatures in the oldscript.ic file

    It is highly likely that Fancypack is not running on your server - check the 'plugins.ic' file in your Itemcraft/ICScript folder and make sure there isn't a '#' at the beginning of the Fancypack line - if there is, remove it.

    More Smelting recipes are things that you can cook which you can't cook at the moment, and get a result. Example, with Fancypack, if you cook ('Smelt') Gravel, you end up with a road block (no, not someone blocking your road).
    If you are meaning specific 'Smelting' recipes, you'd have to be more specific.

    Thanks for your answer icephantom! None of them worked, but I edited the code a little bit and then it worked! Thanks but I have another problem. At step 5 when setting up the tools all I get on the console is

    I'm not sure if it should say that. Would be thankful if anyone could help me :)

    Another problem I got is when I do step 4 when doing the translation. I enter the code and it matches but all I get on the console when I enter it on the GUI is :

    If others will be possible to port mods to bukkit where will they placed for download..? Or will ppl use ic to port mods for theire own without sharing to the community?I suggest that there should be a place to share maybe on the wiki..

    These commands should go into the plugins.ic file in your Itemcraft/ICScripts folder - and BEFORE the plugins entries.

    I'm sure that the first person to be successful will be more than happy to share !
    If too many start appearing, @asdaarg can set up a link to the wiki or something, so that they don't get out of hand on this thread.

    So am I - I've not had time today, and I have to go out in a minute, @asdaarg has sent me some more info, so I'll be trying to finish off the last bit (if I can) in the next day or so - not hopeful yet though - I think I'm going to need a little more assistance, but we'll see how things go.

    These commands are working in my server - the .csv files are on my 'C' drive in a folder called 'Test1' and the retrosource in C:\Test1\java

    I think you are missing the .csv off your entries - anyway, try mine - with a little editing for the directory, should work for you.

    does anyone actually understand how to get this to work. cus i have been trying to do this for like 3 hours now.

    to be piratically frank it pisses me off a little that your making us add coding to this it should be pre done for us. cant you just include a carbon copy of the finished bukkit file.

    No..not fully..I do seem to be getting lost though because of errors. I put this code in the plugins.ic and that is where I am stuck
    "C:\\Test1\\mod\\" file "C:\\Test1\\translatedmod\\" file translate1
    Then it gives me this error.
