    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Oh, it just had to be recompiled after changing Packet24, that explains why there was no difference in the code between the unmodified and modified mx.class. Works nicely now :)
    Just one thing: Can you add a mob spawning command since (at least as far as I know) /spawnmob in Essentials won't spawn the extra mobs.

    How can I change the parameters for Mo Creatures (spawn rate, difficulty etc), this page has some information but the mention of the old startup syntax is a bit confusing, is there a way to do the same thing with the new startup syntax or do I have to make a separate .ic file loaded with includeold that has all the parameters?

    How to disable the 16bit packet thingy, if i do it it says that:
    false <-- Unknown Identifier "false setEntityIDPacketMod" @ line 5 col 5

    This always baffles me a bit, does your server really run at 1gb of ram? Mine croaks if i dont give it at least 1.7gb.
    Dont think it ever releases memory, tried to mess around with plugins, but no obvious perpetrator

    I know the plugins are not your problem but one of my users is having issues starting minecraft using a bin and jar I gave him. All my other users are fine. He is forced to use a .bat to run minecraft
    java -Xms768m -jar "C:\Program Files\Minecraft\minecraft.jar"
    If i go any higher it wont allocate the memory and or run.

    Then when I start his MC with Modloader, AudioMod, MoCreatures, Kslopes, and Fancypack.. (yes this jar is tested and works on all my other users)... He gets some wierd errors in the command prompt and MC crashes.

    [Props] Unable to open!
    Failed to load mod from "mod_FancyPack.class"
    Then you see Kslops load just fine, Audio Mod initializes.. some open AL code then it

    openAL initialized.

    thats when MC Crashes.

    I have no idea. I had him delete his whole bin and use mine.. same avail..

    Im using the 1.5_01 version as my server is not 1.6.6 due to me waiting on a Terrain Mod to become 1.6.6 compatible.

    Any help for him would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  16. This needs a little clarification on what you are trying to achieve here. ItemCraft will not currently run without the 16bit entity.
    You say you are trying to disable it ? and you say you put 'IT' in the init.ic, what 'IT' please ?

    Apologies, I haven't been getting any errors using IC 1.3.6 - didn't know about it.

    Have we any specs on this persons machine ? i.e. chip / ram / os

    Hello, I have a little Minecraft Server and I want to add new item, I have download your (very good) plugin and he work fne with SuperSlopes (with craftbukkit 860) , but I want to add my custom item made with MCP, but I don't understand how I can translate my Mod (MCP) to the Itemcraft API.​

    First, you do some great job, keep continue ;)
    I come here because i have some trouble with ICMCreatures, i can't use any horse, i can ride it but i have no control on it, except if i hit him until death and when i get down i recevied the message "Disconnected by server - You moved too quickly".
    And also i don't have any spawn of shark or dolphin in water but skuid are there(a lot in group), i use the method with the old startupsyntax for MoCreatures to control the spawn of the mob in case of but nothing : / in solo mode no problem with the mob water.

    This is a known bug :

    There is an incompatibility between the "16 bit entity id packet mod" and the "Worldedit Client-side Interface" (which can be found here), can someone merge the class "mx.class" ?

  25. These are known issues with Mo Creatures. It is what it is for now - water mobs don't appear, horses don't work properly and some of the other creatures (i.e. werewolf) don't appear. Your question has been raised before - all that can be said is that there is currently no fix available.

  27. Well, that should be more than enough to run it. Since you have taken a working 'bin folder and put it onto this machine, then it narrows down to something wrong with the machine.
    Options : Is the o/s compromised with either a Virus / Spam-ware - Does it have so many processes running that there is no memory left to run anything else ? Does it have on-board graphics which is sharing the actual ram, in which case, is the amount of ram being shared 'changable' in the bios - perhaps theres not enough ram being given to the on-board graphics - or perhaps too much ? Is he using java 6 ? Although in beta, I've been using Java 7 for a while now with no problems - available HERE. Perhaps your user could give this a try.
    Hows the pagefile setting on this machine - could it be expanded to be a little bigger ?

    It all seems very odd that everyone else can use it except one person (or one machine). At this point, one can only offer suggestions, which may or maynot be of assistance.
    Unfortunately the java download site in read-only until next week due to maintainence, so no downloads at the moment.
    Here is my current start params. for the java version of Minecraft :
    java -server -Xms2048M -Xmx20484M -XX: ParallelGCThreads=2 -cp Minecraft.jar

    ( There should no space beetween -XX: and the word ParallelGCThreads=2 - I've had to leave one because the P keeps getting changed to a smily face if I don't)

    Your user will have to reduce the amount of memory to from 2048 to 1024, I also use the jdk version of java rather than the jre. The -server option will only work with the jdk version.
    Again, the standard params. should work in almost all cases, so still thinking there is a problem with this persons machine, however, at this point, anything is worth a try.

    Where is the 1.3.8 link? I tried downloading the link right under the bold "1.6.6" but when I try to run it the server fails to start and is saying the ItemCraft is version 1.3.3

    I updated to 1.6 today and noticed something.
    I installed the Sphereworldplugin and made a skylands map with Multiverse too.
    In both Worlds there is very little Water and the Landanimals from MoCreatures are much more frequent in this Worlds than in the normal ones. Its really noticable.
    So maybe the low Spawnrates of the Landanimals has something to do with the not spawning Wateranimals?
    When you use loud with the old startup you can see that you get spammed with Spawningerrors from Wateranimals in normal Worlds. In the Worlds with little Water you get very little Errors. So i thought maybe its related.
