    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    You have most the creatures working on your server? Like werewolves and wraiths as well? Also do you know if the options for mo' creatures work in smp?

    Slopes,Trees and Creatures working on my Testserver. Im still on 1.5 on my Liveserver.
    I dont know why so many Peoples have Problems. When you follow the Instructions all is well.
    Heres a List of Common Causes of Error:

    1.Use cb818
    2.Use ItemCraft 1.3.5
    3.Delete META-INF from bukkit.jar
    4.Install Packet Mod 0.2 on your Client (the one under OTHER)
    5.Install the Mods on your client (not the Plugin the actual SSP Mod, Links to them are in the OP)
    6.I would advise that you only install the SSP Mods you need.
    7.Uncomment the Plugins you want to use in yourserverfolder/ItemCraft/ICScript/plugins.ic
    8.On Windows the Startline in the .bat is enough. For Linux it doesnt work for me if i just use the one Line.
    My Linux start.ssh looks like this:

    I dont think that any other Plugin causes Errors with ItemCraft. I have over 40 Plugins installed on my Testserver and everything is running fine.

    Yes Mo' Creatures are working on my server and the most mobs work except water mods but thats a bug with itemcraft itself.
    Werewolves i havent seen their shadow nor wraiths but i am not that much out at night and the horses cant be controlled in smp
    And YES is think the options work in multiplayer since it is only ops that can acces them according to my clients

    There are no problems with 1.3.5 I have been running ICKSlopes, Trees and Mo Creatures for a few days with a variety of Bukkit plugins as well. I suggest that you start from scratch and follow the instructions verbatim for the server portion. Some plugins, like MultiVerse, work better against CB820; but I still have a stable server against CB820.
    If you are having client problems, work from my alternate client installation tutorial. Having a working, 16-bit entity mod version 2 client, that will render in single player without error is the first step>
    @bill45: the other creatures aren't working such as wraiths, werewolves and ogres as well as water mobs. The animals such as Cats, Deer, Boar and others are working. This isn't asdaarg's fault and is a problem with Mo Creatures behavior needing a lot of new networking code.

    Load your client in a console by making a .bat file like this: (I use a 256 bit texture pack so that's why I need more heap)
    java -jar -Xms1400m -Xmx1400m Minecraft.exe
    This will work if Minecraft.exe is on your desktop or in your path. It will show you all the errors and pause when the client black screens, hopefully giving you some troubleshooting information.

    Ok thank you for replying, maybe I installed something wrong then. I know this works..just not fully for me atm.

    Edit: Nope, reinstalled again and still nothing new. Is it possible that you could list the steps you did to install. I followed the instructions but I don't understand why they don't show up on multiplayer but they do in single player.
  20. This is likely to be an issue with the clientside ID's for Moretrees clashing with another mod.
    In your .mincraft folder on your C drive, if you have installed the Moretrees mod, there will be a 'Moretrees.props' file. Click on the link below to download an updated version and place it in your .minecraft folder, replacing the one that is there.

    Now, in order for your server and the client to use the Moretrees mod, you need to download the file in the below link - 'plugins.ic'. Place this file in your Itemcraft\ICScript folder on your server, replacing the one that is there.
    Please note that this plugins.ic file has been changed for all 3 plugins to load. If you are only using 1 or 2 out of the 3 available plugins, please open the file using notepad and put a '#' infront of the line for the plugins that you do not wish to use.

    Anyone having problems with the links, please let me know.
    Also note, in order to see the new Trees in the Trees mod (Advertised here), you will have to generate a brand new world to explore.

    I have been trying to get mo' creatures on my new server for a little while now and could really use some help. I bought a minecraft server from a hosting website. I have been able to get craftbukkit working so i can spawn items for myself, but the only way my server would start is when I did NOT delete the META INF file.

    When I deleted the META INF file from craftbukkit, it became an invalid jar file I could no longer open or run minecraft with.

    Also I dont know what to do with the start.bat file. Because I rent a server from a hosting website, i start and control the server from their webpage using WebFTP or FileZilla.

    So I am stuck here, I dont know how to get itemcraft to work on my server or how to proceed. If anyone can help me out it would be wonderful, i have been trying to get my own server with mo' creatures for months now.
  22. You should be aware that not all features of Mo Creatures are functioning, i.e. not all creatures appear (All Water mobs, WereWolves and one or two others). Horses are not functioning correctly either. You can craft a saddle, you can put the saddle on the horse, you can ride the horse (on Minecraft 1.6.6), you'll get thrown a few times, but eventually when you tame it, you can't steer it, and if you try to dismount, you'll get kicked from the server, which means you will be unable to breed the extra horse types, like the packhorse.
    It is still a good plugin though, worth it for the ambience the sounds alone give you in my view - especially if you are out at night.

    Hope you guys haven't forgotten me and time to time check my mod thread on !

    I have a question to you (a big one) :)

    Since I am a very ambitious person and the more I learn, the more I want... well here it goes:
    I figured a way how to make the Workbench grid 4x4 sized, how would that affect your crafting recipies for ItemCraft on the servers? Also I've changed the inventory capacity of stacks for items, that increase them from max 64 to 100, which is in my opinion more appealing number than 64, which always reminds me of my bad installation of Windows Vista 64 bit :D

    My mod will also feature custom material types for my fog blocks, which will be bound to music (I will try to make the game play special music while inside fog blocks for dark and spooky dungeons :) )

    Also I have to speak with you asdaarg privately about the multiplayer part of the mod, since you mentioned, that you would love to help me with that. Why, well I am planning of getting some reward for my efforts, because the mod already has more than 200 hours of my free time inside it and it increases daily, despite the fact that I am a very busy person. I JUST REALLY WANT IT TO BE ALPHA READY :D

    FYI - the problems with too many bunnies lagging worlds is confirmed to be a SSP Mo Creatures bug as well in 1.6.6. A patch is expected. For now, restrict their frequency and/or limit animal spawns.

    Syrup hasn't released the SSP Fancypack for 1.6.6 yet and I don't know if asdaarg wants to support the unoffical mod yet.
