    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    I made sure to test around before posting. I'm using build #818 and for some reason I am not getting a lot of the creatures that come with mo creatures. I get the new wildlife added in 1.6.6 like the deer and all the cats. I get the boars, bunnies,lions, horses, bears, birds, ducks, and foxes. I know there have been issues with water mobs being invisible I have that as well and I have an odd issue with the horses. With the horses you can't feed them anything and with wheat all you can do is try to feed them the infinite stack of wheat. Can never put a saddle on them. There appears to be no errors at all with other plugins I'm running except movecraft which i took out because it stopped working when I put this in.

    The server runs other people can get on but like I said there is just a lack of animals. I don't know if this is already a known issue. I have searched for hours for other mobs and the mobs all work on single player. Which I ran around on single player till I at least found an ogre that pounded my head into the ground. Also I have a question, do the options that come with mo'creatues work in mulitplayer? Probably no, but I figure I ask.

    Extra stuff I didn't add is I'm using all 1.6.6 stuff except the audio mod which is 1.6.5 but I doubt that be the problem and I'm only using the ICMCreatures plugin. The other plugins I turned off to check if that was the case as well, but nothing. There were also no errors after I deleted movecraft, except with the aggressive chickens plugin but they still work and work when someone hits a duck as well, funny stuff.

    Hi guys, i've got some problems...
    I've got a minecraft server (verygames) so how can i use the .jar with it ?
    I'll try to use the minecraft craftbukkit in the FTP but i think i've fail :'(

    And, i've created a "local server" to play with a friend, but when i host it, and when we try to go to the serevr (Itemcraft + Mo's creature) It' make a black screen and it make this in the cmd :

    Did you place the Jars in the right Folder?
    Also dont forget to uncomment the corresponding Plugins in plugins.ic

    Did you install the corresponding SSP Mods on your client?
    I dont know if the current Version works when you dont have access to the start.bat/ssh.
    Theres was a workaround posted, but cant find it atm.

    Just tested it again. When you do everything right, follow the Instructions in the OP and read ALL Information carefully you shouldnt have any Problems.

    Hello all,
    i have set up server with latest CraftItems and ICKSlopes, bukkit 818! Client with modloader and KSlopes mod...
    works fine in SinglePlayer, but have some problem in multiplayer:

    Got a more concrete example? "Anything done" can be so much, and which mod in particular?

    Edit this file to disable custom GUI, that should fix the issue.

    I believe this is listed in the limitations/known issues in the main post

    Do you have access to your serverstartfile? Sounds like Itemcraft isnt loaded before the Server.

    Seems there is a class conflict with mx.class, preventing the outlines to draw with World Edit CUI.

    This class is being used for World Edit CUI as well as for the "16 bit entity id packet mod", which is needed for Itemcraft useage on bukkit (slopes, MO's creatures etc).

    I am posting the same in the World Edit CUI thread.

    I'm trying to update my 818 bukkit server
    The Server loads everything fine for the ICKSlopes after i removed the # in the ICPlugins.
    But my Client does not connect. When the 16 bit entity id packet mod IS NOT installed I get a timeout.
    When the 16 bit entity id packet IS installed minecraft client does not start!
    I hope you can help me!

    Ive been stuck at this for hours and my brain is about to explode. Im running a current bukkit server with some plugins, and all I want to do is add in mo's creatures. But these install instruction, and even the alternate ones are getting me no where. Can someone give me some info on how to write the .bat file?

    You Must install the 16 bit entity pack AND modloader! Also I think you need the KSlopes plugin in your minecraft.jar It's weird that there's no download link but here I've one:

    You should have a .bat file to start your server, right? If you have one ( and you should have^^ ) then open it with editor or something and just add the lines which are posted in the installation instructions. Then you must put itemcraft.jar in your main folder of bukkit ( there where your .bat file is too ). After that you must start your server one time. If there's no error from itemcraft, close it and now you've got a folder in your main folder called "Itemcraft". Open it and open the IcScript folder. Then open plugins.ic with editor ( c++ editor recommended ) and just delete the "#" in front of the plugins you would have loaded. Then you must simply download the plugins and put them in the other folder in itemcraft called "ICPlugins". Then you can start your server. For installing the plugins in your minecraft.jar you should watch a tutorial ;)

    What I have discovered is that you need to completely ignore the modern installation instructions for the client mods. No matter what I did, only the manual installation was working for me. I consider myself a skilled reader, but I couldn't get these client mods to work together without doing this against ItemCraft. This is what I did to get this to work for ItemCraft 1.3.5, CB818:
    1. Make sure META-INF in minecraft.jar is deleted.
    2. Install Modloader, Audiomod, GuiAPI for 1.6.6 (1.6.5 audiomod is OK don't worry) by copying the contents into minecraft.jar
    3. Install KSlopes, MoreTrees by copying the contents into the minecraft.jaar (make sure your props files are setup as per instructions so that both mods don't conflict with item IDs)
    4. Install Mo Creatures by copying the contents of, found in the 'mods' directory directly into the minecraft.jar
    5. Copy the contents of 'resources' directory into the \.minecraft\resources directory (just like the old way of installing Mo Creatures)
    6. USE THE 16-bit packet entity mod. Copy contents directly into the minecraft.jar. My client was crashing endlessly until I installed the packet entity mod.

    Yes, mo's creature work in ssp.
    For now, my server don't want to start, so i can't test if mo's creature work. (I think it's a problem with the run.bat i have an answer who said that jave is not recognized).
    But i can't find how i can use the ICMcreature on a verygames server. :(

    i know that this is listed under known issues but when they say "Horses are difficult to control" do they mean that the horse i slowly glitching its way forward ??
    and while the bunnies and deers are jumping for me they are like leaning a bit forward while in the air. if that is a glitch or is it supposed to do that ?
    Can anyone else that me confirn thoose glithces or that they have had problems similar to the ones describeb on top

    Bunnies are glitched because they are not bouncing on top of the blocks, but through them. Been a problem since MC1.3 version of MoCreatures
    Horses are completely bugged so just use them for leather harvesting and adding some beauty to the game.
    I would just consider SMP MoCreatures at this point to be adding 'animals' that behave like other Minecraft creatures. I know that asdaarg and others are working on improbving the SMP behavior of MoCreatures mobs and water creatures, but for now consider them not working at all. In MC1.3 we had werewolves, but no Lions. In 1.5 we had Lions, but no werewolves. In 1.6 we have cats and deer, but no Lions and still no extra mobs. I believe this is due to the complexity of the networking code required for the behavior to work properly in SMP. Until someone addresses this, MoCreatures is really MoDifferentLandAnimals :)

    Nope. All the players need to have the mod installed on their client.

    yes all players need to have the mods but if you are using kslopes i think you can make it optional if just the users that dont have the mod dont try to craft things from the mod or if the client renders things from the mod i would guess that they dont need it

    it is just that when i first tryed out ItemCraft i forgot to install Kslopes while using the client so i crashed every time i tryed to craft a slope but whitout trying to do thing within the mod feature i were fine but i dont know about it has been changed
