    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Piontless amusing fact: The fox sound in MoCreatures is accurate enough to send my dogs into a craze. :p

    Literally every bit of information you need to get this up and running with 1.3.5 is available in this thread.
    In fact I think its all in the main post except for the change in syntax for teh startup file where you can change blocktypes.

    I got the slopes mod working, but when i add the 16 bit entity id packet mod to the minecraft.jar then minecraft wont open. What do i do?

    Well why don't you be a bit more specific about what your having trouble with and maybe someone can help you.
    As I found everything I needed in the first post and a few posts from 2 or 3 pages back.

    Are you using the newer version of the 16 bit entity packet? :

    I wasn't using the new version, thanks that worked. i was able to join my server but when i tried to craft a sloped block the image appeared then disappeared and i couldn't craft it.

    I have Mo'Creatures and KSlopes zip files in .minecraft/mods and they load just fine. I am not sure about modloader mods that have directories in them if they work or not. Haven't tried any with directories as all the ones I have with directories also modify minecraft files.

    When you unzip the main Mo'Creatures archive it has a directory name mods. There is a zip file in it that you put in the .minecraft/mods directory. It also has a resources directory you copy the directory in it into .minecraft/resources directory. For Kslopes you just put the downloaded zip into the .minecraft/mods directory.

    The ICKSlopes.jar and ICMCreatures.jar files go in the ItemCraft/ICPlugins directory.
    Then you need to edit plugins.ic in the ItemCraft/ICScripts directory and un-comment the plugins you want to load making sure the spellings actually match the files in ItemCraft/ICPlugins directory. (The KSlopes is misspelled).

    EDIT: note you will need to run craftbukkit with ItemCraft once for it to create the directories and plugins.ic file for you.

    That kind of sounds like the server has the recipe disabled, you might need to uncomment the line for ICKslopes in the ItemCraft/ICScript/Plugins.ic file. If you already did that then I have no idea.

    When I start the server with ICMCreatures I get this error...

    EDIT: The client works correctly is single player.

    Ive tried installing the icmcreatures and everything works out fine until i try to log into my server. then it gives me a whole bunch of errors, i was wondering if someone could take a look at it and see whats wrong or maybe help me because all it does it say loggin in the the screen goes black. thanks a lot to any1 who can help me :D

    My players have been requesting more furnature etc and this seems perfect specialy after i watched the video located on superslope plugin page ( ) but i have some questions

    1)do we have to be on 818 (were on 823 i believe due to the bug fixes) ?
    2)the icslopes link has a fair few mods on it, can all be used?
    3) is there a way automate the client side to make it easier for noobs?
    4) if some one doesnt have the mods and connects..what happens?
    5) with this video is it truely possible to do what the guy in the video did?

  23. 1) I've only done a small amount of testing on bukkit #823 but it appears to work OK. This is the last bukkit version that you can use though - this plugin breaks after that.
    2) No - Only ICSlopes
    3) Dyncraft was something that was being developed to do just that - unfortunately development appears to have stopped. Pogic may assist, but its still in development. Quick answer - currently No.
    4) If you have Itemcraft with only Kslopes, then if users wishing to connect apply just the 16bit entity mod, they'll be able to connect & play (just not craft kslope mixes) If you have any more than kslopes - i.e. kslopes & mo creatures serverside, then clients will have to have both mods installed clientside to connect. Probably the same for trees as well, although I've not tested that yet.
    5) Yes, for the exterior of the house - parts of the interior make use of Fancypack, which has not yet been converted for use with the 1.6.6 server.

    I'd like to try out the texturepack from that video just to see - don't know what it is though!.

    that was a speedy reply

    its the interior stuff most of players are wanting, they are for some reason unhappy with bookcases and beds and want to make detailed homes so i shall wait for the fancypack to be converted (if that is planed to be converted?)
  26. Currently there is an unofficial release available, however the dev of this plugin is a little reluctant to incorporate an unofficial update. Nothing has been heard from the official author of the Fancypack plugin, so the unofficial one may be all thats on offer - hopefully the dev will make use of it in the near future.
    As for the update of ItemCraft itself, the dev only updates the plugin to work with the latest recommended build - which currently is #818. Whilst it may work with other versions, there won't be much support from the dev, since he's specifically made it to work with #818.
    I'm going to do some further testing tomorrow on bukkit #823, but my test server has been up for around 6 hours with this plugin running on #823, so signs are good.

    with some of the bugfixs, and the noticable performance boost we got from switching to 823 im surprised its not been made an RB already.

    will keep my eye on this plugin and will make the move to it when fancypack is incorporated (if it works stable etc on 823, which ure tests seem to hold true)
  28. Bukkit team are already up to build #839, with a fair amount of fixes under their belt, so to make #823 recommended would be a backward step. I'm assuming another RB will be announced soon, probably nearer #840+

    So i got it work except on one point I do the Crafing formula and i see it appear into the outpout then the slopes desapear... What i done wrong?

    So i am still having a problem. I can enter the server fine. I have the kslopes client mod working. I have the newest version of the 16 bit entity id packet mod. I can join the server fine but when i try to craft a new block, then the sprite image will appear then disappear and i cant craft it. I have ("ICKSlopes.jar" plugin) uncommented in the itemcraft/ICScript folder. Can anyone help me?
