    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    The blocks will disappear if they are loaded. The items can cause the client to crash. I havent' tested whether it will crash the server. You can always empty them from your inventory before you upgrade.

    @asdaarg great work on the mod, coming around very nicely, just a couple question for you. I am starting a new map and would to include some new blocks and such using this mod, but due to the fixes of ore generation in 1.6 I would like to use 1.6 for the new map. Do you have an ETA on when this will be updated? Also for further updates will they be about the same time between updating? Or will it be relatively easy for you to update in a day or two after patches? I ask because I would like to know what to tell people for turn around time after updates. As once you start using IC the server will basically revolve around it's update cycle.

    The client does crash when removing itemcraft, but only with the items in the inventory/chests or dropped, already placed blocks simply disappear. Beware, for as I said if you open a chest with itemcraft items after removing the plugin, the client will crash every time you do it. This also happens if you break the chest with those items. DO NOT break the chest. The client will continually crash, as the server will detect the itemcraft items on the floor.

    I guess I have no excuse now not to update :(

    I didn't manage to finish the planted pots fix script I've been working for days to do :p It should work though if you type it in the GUI one line at a time (you need the newest FancyPack):

    This is only for the cactus. For the other 2 replace BlockCactus with BlockFlower and BlockReed

    Edit: I managed to get it to execute all lines using the startup file. But the cactus still can't be planted for some reason. Anyways. All bugfixed needed for this are now in IC 1.2.2. I suppose the final update for 1.5.1

    Now moving on to 1.6.6.

    Edit2: It now works. The cactus can finally be planted. It didn't work previously because of classpath conflict with the old classes. So now they are renamed to mods.*

    oh well, I guess I'll just decompile CB

    Edit: Apparently only Kaevator's slopes is working for 1.6.6 so I guess there is no point in hurying here :)

    I got a question. Is the only mods that currently support this the ones mention in the download section? Not sure how it is all setup and just wondering if just any old mod could be added. I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask anyway.

    Great mod idea by the way. I was wondering why there wasn't something like this out there.

    I love this plugin for Bukkit, I have all the mods you have done on my server and people love it. I have a BIG server: 8 persons at the same time and I can tell you there is no lag with the mods. Perhaps I have found a bug which is not on the forum: It's difficult to destroy redstone in the cavern, like the new tree block. Often the block come back and we need to destroy them more than once to have the ore.

    This is not grave and you have done a magnificient work in the future will you release other mods?

    you mean my problem is that i have the client mod not running but i have all mods installed at the client. When i start the server only with itemcraft and without an ic plugin it is the same problem. I can't connect to my server. All mods work in singleplayer but when i will connect to my server it says end of stream and disconnect me. I don't now what i have wrong. Please help me:

    I use CB818, and when I use Itemcraft from my 1.5 server the server starts but I get an error cant find Kslopes.jar in plugins folder (but its in there).
    If I use the new Itemcraft 1.2.2 and I start the server with this bat file :
    (java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main)
    the server starts for 3 seconds and closes no errors also nothing in the server.log.
    Ive read in this topic that Kslopes works on this server but not for me.

    Installation & Usage:
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit (Done)
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time) (Not created)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript) (Not done server wont start)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular. (Says in this topic it works)
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.) (done)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed (Not done because server wont start)
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (could make it optional if you don't use new entities, but right now you need it)
    Im sorry this is all the info I can give, has anyone an idea ?
    P.s. maybe I missed something in the topic but its 40 pages long :(
    P.P.s I only use Kslopes mod nothing else.

    I haven't looked at this for 2/3 days, but the version up the top is 766. This means that it is STILL for CB 1.5_01, and is not updated for 1.6 or 1.6.6. We shall have to wait. Most of the mods that are being used aren't even updated.

    The first thing to try is to make a backup of your current minecraft.jar file and rename your current minecraft.jar file to something else (i.e. minecraft_current.jar). Hopefully you should still have a file called 'minecraft-1.5_01.jar' in your .minecraft/bin folder, make a copy of this file and rename the copy file to minecraft.jar, now restart minecraft - this will give you a clean start with your minecraft with no mods in at all. Start your server with IC, but no mods installed and see if you can connect. If you can, then add one of the IC mods (i.e. Kslopes) to the server, then add the Kslopes files (and modloader) to your minecraft.jar on your computer and see how you get on. If you can still connect after doing this, then its just a matter of adding things one at a time.
    If you still can't connect, please re-post and we'll try something else.
