    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      • Others:

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Startup.txt with new command like "Include pluginname.txt"
    who include in startup.txt the pluginname.txt
    We can easy port some modloader extension and you can put it on your download :)
    Big startup.txt is'nt a good thing, more better with include !

    Arcaian - unfortunately the instructions, which weren't written very well, assume that your command prompt is already in the bukkitcraft folder ... try this

    1. Browse to the folder where craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar is located.
    2. Hold shift and right click in a blank area in that folder and select open command window here - this will open your cmd to that path
    3. past java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main into the command prompt and hit enter.

    I am not promising you won't encounter other problems, as I am still working on this myself, but that's how you get the server to start.

    Ok I know why the Fertilizers aren't working now, I suppose this is why the potted plants and horse riding doesn't work either.

    Hey is there any possibility to use it without any .sh data. I have McMyAdmin and only a gameserver but still want to use this plugin. Do anyone know any possiblity?

    No when you dont have access to the .sh im afraid you cant use this Mod.

    You are 100% wrong.
    Add the itemcraft.jar into McMyAdmin-Directory/Minecraft/Addons.
    Then open itemcraft.jar and craftbukkit.jar.
    Delete the META-INF folder in craftbukkit.jar, and copy the META-Inf folder in itemcraft.jar over to craftbukkit.jar
    When this is done correctly it should work as it did for me(I am also using McMyAdmin).

    Apparently there was several issues. Horses are a different issue so never mind them. One problem was some automatic translation errors due to EntityPlayer being called EntityHuman on the server side. Another issue is that the alternative blocks never got loaded.
    Potted plants should be working now, and some other issues probably got fixed as well.

    To use potted plants you need to download the newest ICFancyPack, and move BlockCactus,BlockReed and BlockFlower from it into either itemcraft or craftbukkit jars, under the same folder.

    Some issues probably got fixed in ICNTrees as well so try it.

    I have the speed of Goldaxe Sand Glass Wood ... are dissapearing right but Clean and copplestone or Ores are not disapearing (with low speed too)

    do I have to ad more parameters on startup.txt maybe?

    on sturt up i have just added item id
    all other propertys are clientside

    Pots are still not useable. I have CB766,ItemCraft 0.8.5,ICFancyPack 0.2.1.
    Placed the three files in both IC and CB jar in the folder /net/minecraft/server (crashes server when i try to plant flowers. says block not found in directory net/minecraft/server/ICFancyPack)
    Then i tried net/minecraft/server/ICFancyPack. This doesnt crash the Server but Plants are not plantable.
    Tried it with only placing them in CB or IC. But its no use.

    I have done diffrend test and find out now that if i set the item to Pick it will just be buggy on Stones
    and if i make it Axe then it is buggy on Wood how i can fix that?
    maybe adding custom blocks for it?

    If he's trying the .sh method, that normally means that he's hosting on a VPS and not a local machine. Which, if it is the case, YOU are 100% wrong. On a VPS, you don't have the option of toying with the bat file. You either need to; bug your hosts to modify the bat file for you and you only, or have access to the ssh (if they use ssh) and do what I have been able to figure out as a workaround. Now, if he is hosting on a LOCAL machine, he can just modify the .bat and do the whole shebang that way. Trust me about the VPS thing, took me, 3 of my programmers, and my VPS host to figure out how to do what I did.

    Maybe I get you wrong, but I edit every .sh file (on my CentOS VPS) just with WinSCP...

    I got it working with this:
    1. Delete Meta-Inf from craftbukkit.jar
    2. Place ItemCraft.jar in Addons/Itemcraft

    I have seen many VPS systems where you can either use a ssh or upload your files to desired location, so
    I know this. When using McMyAdmin on Linux, you can't just delete the meta-inf folder in craftbukkit.jar, but you need to replace it with the one in itemcraft.jar. If he has ssh he could easily do this himself, or if he has a upload feature he could fix the meta-inf stuff on his local machine and upload it to the vps. So I don't really think you know what you talk about there. If he is running on a local machine then he could follow my instructions.

    I don't want to start a flamewar with you, or anyone else for that matter.

    A bit offtopic but..

    Good News everyone^^

    With some tricks you could use such a Mod as Stained Glass for example...

    I have Mods like Stained Glass and BetterBlocks on my Client installed.. Surely i could not place these Blocks in SMP.
    But with a Plugin like Voxel Sniper and a Brush that changes Datavalues for the Blocks you could transform the Glasblocks in any colour stained glass supports. The new Datavalues were saved, even after restarting the server all is fine. I believe you could do this with other mods that are using metadata for "new" blocks like BetterBlocks, too.

    For sure this is not the best method.. but if u are playing on a creative server and cant wait until new stuff is transferred to Bukkit this is maybe a method you want to use..

    Please mention. This works for ME with my Client/server modifications... Your Server may Crash and you should know how to remove Blocks from your World (using MCEdit for example) and test this in small scale before spamming corrupted blocks in your world.

    I see, it does not work for me either. I was in a rush when I tried to fix this. The cacti stay in the pot for a longer time but that's actually due to the server freezing and client side prediction. This is not the way to solve the problem. The preexisting blocks have to be removed and new blocks put in their place. I'm adding a remove function.
