ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

Any idea why I get these errors on my 64bit vps?

I've installed it properly, and used the run commands that you provided, as well as I tested it on my lan side and it works, just not on the 64bit windows vps xen.

I had this too when I installed everything with mod manager.
I got it working two days ago with mod manager, I installed the 16 bit package too with it, so maybe it's worth looking at it :).

    So.. @asdaarg
Are you planning to fix the config for mo'creatures? Because the SpawnRate doesn't increase or decrease whatever ( only I think when you turn the freq = 0 then the monster isn't be spawned anymore ( tried it with ogres and wraiths and didn't see them since then ))
It would be very nice when you can fix it. Thanks for your great work.

    Tip's that may help
    1. Confirmed to work with World Guard, as in region protection. IF you have no permission in the area, it protects object's in Fancy Pack, IE Chair, Lantern, Bone Decorations.
    2. If you only have ICMCREATURES It'll prompt you to push enter when you start the .bat, however, I installed FancyPack, and Slopes, now it run's without asking you to prompt to push enter before the server starts.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work. There seems to be some kind of problem with the spawn loop, because when I print out the creatures supposedly spawned, I get all sorts of creatures including cave ogres and fire ogres but I can never see them in the world. I'll try to fix it if I figure it out somehow.

Also it seems that it only spawn 1 creature of a type, for example 1 boar instead 5 - 6 like in SSP

  14. I believe water mobs have been disabled for now since there were issues with them.
  15. Offline

That is correct. All land monsters are enabled but you can't change their spawn-rate and they spawn much less than in ssp

Sad, was hoping to see water mobs, though too bad there was no way to disable riding dolphins.

Yeah, haven't seen any ogre's or wraiths at all :\

Okay... So... I'm confused. Is this right?

ItemCraft will allow me to make mods on Bukkit.
All the people on my server have to have ItemCraft installed.
Also, all the people on my server have to have all of my mods installed (or does ItemCraft do that automatically?)

And what does DynCraft have to do with this?
  20. Offline

Do your friends who want to play on your server only need the Mo's creatures and the 16 bit entity packet loaded?
  21. Offline

Hey is there any possibility to use it without any .sh data. I have McMyAdmin and only a gameserver but still want to use this plugin. Do anyone know any possiblity?
  22. Offline

ItemCraft does not install mods on clients automatically. Dyncraft and Pogic do this. ItemCraft uses another approach to client/server modding, the more or less automated porting of client mods to bukkit more or less seamlessly interfacing with it through ItemCraft and an automated translation process. There are some limitations to this though, such that are surfacing especially with Mo's creatures, but might be bridged in the future.

    few questions..

    1. Is there a way to disable some blocks, speficially in fancy pack with the speedy cobble blocks, and creating mossycobble?

    2. Is this still valid?I havent seen any wraith or orcs, nor were wolves!

For the reappearing blocks, destroy the blocks slowly one at a time.

It still doesn't work for me. I'm going to try getting a completely fresh bukkit server and working it from there.
EDIT: I have the craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (version 766) in the folder. It's META-INF has been renamed. I also have ItemCraft.jar in the folder. THAT IS ALL THAT IS IN THE FOLDER BESIDES MY BATCH FILES.
I have 3 batch files, they are :
    @Echo OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -cp ItemCraft.jar -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
    Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    @Echo off
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
None of these work. The first says "Invalid or corrupt jarfile craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar, press any key to continue:" , and pressing a key closes it.
The second one flashes up with an error for about 1/2 a second then disapears.
The third says "Invalid or corrupt jarfile craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar, press any key to continue:" , and pressing a key closes it.
