    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Can you not add krynlyng's mods for craftbukkit to the ItemCraft.jar anymore or am I doing it wrong. I put krynlyng's Teams and Portal Gun mod ports in my ItemCraft.jar and the server runs but then my bunny box I made turns into a werewolf box. And then I open my inventory and the game crashes.

    I searched through this post and the guy managed to change the error by renaming the slopes jar but mine is all labelled correctly i think.

    Has anyone else been encountering a white screen when starting spoutcraft after installing the client-side mods: Risugami's modloader, modloadermp, and the 16 bit packet entity id packet mod (in that order) for Itemcraft??? I tried searching the forums and didn't come up with anything. I can install the server-side mods fine (Itemcraft.jar, deleting and replacing the META-Inf folder in the minecraft.jar with the one from Itemcraft.jar, modloadermp) but when it comes to spoutcraft it just loads a white screen after logging in.

    Hello, I and a other guy just made some posts about the balkons weapon mod and more of those wich you can find here

    Is it possible to get those working with itemcraft?
    And whats the status about the new version of Mo's Creatures? The bugs are really anoying and i just saw someone is updating it. Any idea when you think you are ready?

    Now ive got it. When i try to use The balkons mod for bukkit build 1000 and put it in the item craft for bukkit 1060 IT WORKS(the server) But when the client tries to join you only see the background of the main menu and after that a black screen. Anyone know how to fix that?

    BTW this means if itemcraft is up-to-date with the new mlp 4.2 we can actualy run those new mods?

    This is the exact same problem I have with Teams and Portalgun for craftbukkit. I took out all of my plugins so now I can atleast join the server but when I open my inventory it black screens again. I tried to get the error report by using the error reporter from SDK's guns, but you can't connect to servers with it. It just says the user is not a premium member. Is there any way to get the error report for a black screen you get while joining a server? Also nothing shows up in the server console except me disconnecting.
  11. OK, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, however, first off, please try re-downloading the Ver.166 of the Test Server, it has been updated. As with all test servers, Kslopes is the only plugin enabled by default.
    The addition of all the block ID's serverside is un-necessary server-side. If there are no block IDs for it to find, it reverts to the defaults, so unless you need to have ID's on numbers other than the defaults, there is no need for them to be inserted on the server 'ic' file.
    The other possibility could be, if you have had an earlier version of Kslopes installed and you haven't deleted the client-side Kslopes.props file from your .minecraft folder, then many of the ID numbers have changed, and there may be conflicts because of this. I presume in your case, you have done a fresh install since SSP appears to be working ? Anyway, download the 166 server again & see how you get on please. I've just ran several tests with this one with only Kslopes enabled (Important to have ver. 2.2 of Kslopes on your client), and I haven't had any issues. All blocks crafted OK for me.

  13. I have just tested an Itemcraft server with Balkons weapons mod and also Kslopes at the same time. They both work fine. There is a Test server with Kslopes+Balkons Weapons HERE.
    What you need to install client-side is Modloader, ModloaderMP, 16bit entity package, Balkons Weapons mod ver 6.1 and (optional) KSlopes ver 2.2. If you choose not to install Kslopes on your client, please disable on the server, otherwise, you can craft the kslopes blocks, but they will dissappear from the crafting table before you can get them, which will cause issues to your connected users.

    You have made an error in one of your 'ic' script files. Try re-downloading the 166 test server again and run it without making any changes - when you run it (just to prove that it runs), then be careful with your editing. You haven't actually said which plugins you are wishing to run. The test server is set to run only Kslopes, or check out this post HERE for Kslopes + Balkons Weapons.

    There are some issues with Spout, some users have it working successfully with Itemcraft, some don't - I must assume that some mods + Itemcraft make Spout crash in some way, although I haven't run many tests yet to see what could be causing it. If you can manage without Spout, I would suggest doing that, if you can't manage without, I would suggest putting 1 Itemcraft plugin at a time until you get to the point where Spout gives you the white-screen.

  15. I have not got access to the Teams / Portal gun mods for Itemcraft, if you could post a link to the server-side and clientside mods you have installed please, I will assist by running a test for you.

    I use the Aether as well, although I am unaware that they have fixed the problem with multi-player.
    What I mean by that is, on ver. 1-02 of Aether, if you have this installed on your client, if you join ANY SMP game, the client will crash. The only way I've been able to join SMP games is to have 2 seperate minecraft.jar files - one for playting the Aether, and one for SMP - currently, until the Aether team bring out a patch / update, you can't have both together.

    If you go into your server directory, then into the Itemcraft folder, you should see an 'init.ic' file. Open this with a text editor and insert the line :
    "false setPacket230OnLogin"
    Save and close the file, restart your server.

    This mod looks good ! I hope someone picks up the job of porting to Itemcraft, and gives it a try.

    Well awesome! I am gonna test it soon! But does it also work with Mo's Creatures and Hidden doors enabled in itemcraft?

    And can you give me a guide or something how i get it working my self so when there are new updates i can also updating instead of asking you again? :p It would be nice!

  18. By visiting the test server page, you can always get the most up-to-date versions for server (within a couple of days of most updates)
    Itemcraft plugins are easy to enable - since the available plugins that are known about are already in the Itemcraft/plugins directory. All you have to do to enable / disable an Itemcraft plugin is to go into your server directory, then into the Itemcraft/ICScript directory and open the 'plugins.ic' file with a text editor. Scroll down to the lines :
    ## Uncomment Plugins you want to use:

    #"ICBetterStainedGlass.jar" plugin
    #"ICChestTrap.jar" plugin
    #"ICFan.jar" plugin

    Remove the '#' from the beginning of each line where you wish the plugin to run. Put the '#' back at the beginning of the line to stop it running.
    ModloaderMP mods are available form HERE Under the 'Downloads' spoiler, download the server-side mod you wish to install, open the downloaded zip file and go into the jar / net / minecraft / server folder - now leave this file open where it is.
    Open your bukkit.jar file with winrar, or other zip program, go into the net folder, then into minecraft folder, then into the server folder. Now leave the bukkit file open wher it is, go back to the mod file which you left open, highlight all the files and drag them into the bukkit jar - job done ! I hope this makes sense to you. Have fun !!
    Always remember, for each mod you install on the server, you need to install the corresponding client mod on your client to be able to join the server.

    I have had to build a server with Balkons weapons, Kslopes, Hidden doors and Mo' Creatures installed, and then do the same to my client. I haven't the time to run a full test on every item in the game now, but what I can say is, I have installed all these and both server and client run, and I can join the server, so there is a good probability that things will be OK.
    If you have downloaded a test server longer than 3 minutes ago, please re-download. There was a corrupt Mo' Creatures plugin installed - this has been corrected.

  20. You have me wondering ? Why have you changed the ID's ? I haven't and it runs fine - if you changed the ID's, where did you change them please - what file did you edit ?

    No sorry i forgot to put something on my client on! but now i have got this:

    How can i fix this? Is this becuase of the IDs?
  22. I am assuming you have changed block ID's or Item ID's for the weapons mod ? I'm trying to fathom why you did that, and can you let me know which file you edited to change them please - i.e. where is this file and what's it called and why did you need to do it, and what were the values and what did you change them to - this is information I need to be able to assist. ............ many thanks .....

    Previous post isnt needed anymore!

    But! When i trhow a spear now i dont see it flying and i dont see it on the ground :(

    Any way to fix this?

    (PS it was indeed becuase of the changed IDs!)

I have to go out in a couple of mins, so in case you are unable to get back to me in time, the first thing to try is if you are using a texture pack, change back to the default minecraft texture -see if you can see the spea then. If you can, there is possibly a fix for this, but I'll have to try it out myself first - however, if you are already still on the default texture, this won't help.

  28. I have ran out of time this evening, but I've been looking into it, I crafted a javalin and it was invisible in my inventory, so it would follow that it would be invisible if you throw it.
    I will have more time tomorrow evening - I will have another look then and see if I can find a solution.

    I don't get anywhere. I install modloader, modloadmp, and the 16bit entity pack (no mods) and it's a white screen after I log in.

    I thought it would work. I Installed all of my mods except for the Aether. I could atleast connect to my normal craftbukkit server then, but whenever I tried to connect to my craftbukkit server with ItemCraft I got this error: , and then later I connected without Optifine installed and I got this similar error: . What does this mean?

    Yes, at least previously, they have. They seemingly quit working together in SMP around Bukkit #1000.
