ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    • Add more Block types
    • Add more Item types
    • Add more Entity types
    • Add more TileEntity types
    • Add more Crafting recipes
    • Add more Smelting recipes
    • Add more Tree generators
    • Ported ModLoader interface
    • Ported ModLoaderMP interface
    • Fake GUIAPI Settings interface
    • Startup file for configuring plugins and making simple blocks and items

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.
    • To start:
      • Windows:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar;craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
      • Others:
        java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -cp ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

That said, I want to thank all who have helped users with their problems. In particular special thanks to icephantom and Asymetrikon for their big efforts in this. Also a special thanks to xeronut for being generally helpful.

  4. If you download a test server from HERE, put your Minecraft_RKit.jar into the same directtory and then try :
    java -Xmx30M -Xms30M -XX:MaxPermSize=40M -jar Minecraft_RKit.jar;craftbukkit1000.jar USER: PASS
    . or if not, try:
    java -Xmx30M -Xms30M -XX:MaxPermSize=40M -jar Minecraft_RKit.jar;craftbukkit1000.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main nohud
Since this Minecraft_Rkit.jar is not used by me, I've no idea if this will work, also, setting your java memory allocation so low - does this work ? instead of 30M, I'm more used to seeing 1024M - anyway, best I can suggest without using the remote kit that you are using.

thnx but do you no a different remotetoolkit thing that doesnt use the serverstart
  6. OK, in order to do the clientside, you should have a folder called : pfaeff in your .minecraft folder. This folder should contain a '' file with the block ids in. If not, you need to create a folder with this name in your .minecraft folder and create a file called in it. The contents of the file should be :
    chesttrap_ID = 113
    allocator_ID = 114
    jumppad_ID = 115
    fanon_ID = 116
    fanoff_ID = 117
    #allocator_Filter = true
    #allocator_SubItemFilter = true
The allocator_filter and subitemfilter are commented out in this setup - hopefully you won't need them.

I'm not sure what remote toolkit does, so I would be unable to advise.

  8. Check out this page HERE and make sure you have the correct plugins for your client please.

Oh I have it set up clientside, but serverside I'm still getting an error as if the IDs have not changed at all.
  10. OK, I've had a look at this remote toolkit - the startup lines I gave are no good to you.
What you need to do is go into your server folder - the remote toolkit should have created a directory in your server directory called 'toolkit', go into this folder and look for a file called : ''
Open this file and edit the line : minecraft-server-jar=craftbukkit.jar and change it to :minecraft-server-jar=craftbukkit1000.jar
Hopefully thats all you will have to do, then you can use your original start line that you first posted.
This assumes you are using one of the test servers.

The serverside id changes need to go before the lines in your plugins.ic file that have :
    ## Uncomment Plugins you want to use:
    #"ICKSlopes.jar" plugin
    #"ICFancyPack.jar" plugin
    #"ICSGlass.jar" plugin
    "ICMCreatures.jar" plugin
    #"ICNTrees.jar" plugin
    #"ICMiner.jar" plugin
    #"ICPotioncraft.jar" plugin
    #"ICHedge.jar" plugin
    #"ICBeer.jar" plugin
    #"ICJanino.jar" plugin
    #"ICJode.jar" plugin

I have done that. So if I were to change an ID of the allocator, I would do this:

    "blockallocator" 114 setID

    @icephantom @chelben9
here is the config i'm currently using on my linux server for r-toolkit with itemcraft:
startcommandbukkit.bat (whatever this is called on your system)
    java -Xmx30M -Xms30M -XX:MaxPermSize=40M -jar Minecraft_RKit.jar user:pass
pls change user and pass, this is just the example

i renamed my craftbukkit.jar to craftbukkit-ic.jar only to have the original for backup and the -ic without meta-inf
    overridden-process-arguments=java -Xmx1490M -Xms1490M -Djline.terminal\=jline.UnsupportedTerminal -cp ItemCraft.jar\:craftbukkit-ic.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main nohud nogui
    if "overridden-process-arguments" is used, server-arguments, minecraft-server-jar, extra-runtime-arguments, initial-heap-size and maximum-heap-size are ignored

I started with a fresh minecraft.jar and nothing in .minecraft/mods, nothing in .minecraft/config. Installed the following:

    ModloaderMP 1.7.3 Unofficial
    16bit EntityID
    GUIAPI 10.4

The server is one that I've been using for a while now, but with the addition of your Mo'Creature mod. This has ItemCraft.v1.6.4 and CraftBukkit 1000. I disabled everything else except for your Mo'Creature.

Here's what I get when I login to the server:

    N:\Games\Minecraft\Minecraft.Official.Downloads>java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Mine
    craft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame

    SoundSystem shutting down...
        Author: Paul Lamb,
  15. Apologies - had something to do before - however, no, the serverside block id names should be like this :
    "allocator_ID" 114 setID
    "chesttrap_ID" 113 setID
    "fanon_ID" 116 setID
    "fanoff_ID" 117 setID
    "jumppad_ID" 115 setID
    - hope this assists with your problem...........

Apologies, I had reset mine from the default - the default is 'R' not 'S' as I said before, sorry - have you tried 'R'

Currently there are 2 ICCreatures plugins available for Itemcraft. I would suggest downloading this one <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>

......... many thanks for the update ! I'm not very familiar with this 'remotekit' plugin.

Is there anyway to identify a Mo Creature animal/monster from within a Bukkit Plugin. When I receive the onEntityDeath event all I receive is a CraftAnimal.

  27. I take it you have followed the instructions in this post HERE ?
If so, then you might want to PM @Xandaros and see if any of the steps needs to be changed because of changes within bukkit. Sorry I can't assist any further.

    Currently, no - sorry.

Download this file HERE. Put it in your Itemcraft/ICScript folder on the server. Now open the 'plugins.ic' file which is also in this folder and add the line :
    "oldscript.ic" includeold
All the settings for Mo' Creatures are in the oldscript.ic file - bunnies are already set to 0 for you. Unless you know what you are doing, I'd leave the other settings as they are.

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not, most likely it has, but can this plugin handle larger mods like Blackmodule's Minecraft Suite, or The Aether Mod? If not, will it ever be able to do so?
Also, is there a fix coming so people can ride horses and have water mobs in Mo'Creatures?
Thank you for developing such a great mod, this really helps add some of the more interesting clientside mods to the multiplayer experience. Perhaps you could partner up with the spout devs and really get some magic flowing :D

It CAN, but it will take a lot of work to port the mod through. And even if it succeeds, it will most likely be buggy like mo's creatures which will require more work for it to be fixed.

Alright it works now, thank you very much! :)

Thank you DeadThiaz for your great work porting kitties.
Giving cooked fish, crafting medallion, taming, crafting woolball and make them play with it works very well.
I can craft kittybed but not place it in the world : it doesn't appear.
But the quality of you work makes me confident in the whole porting of Mo's creatures for ItemCarft one of these days.
Keep the good work on !
