    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Ignore my error, sorry. The Bukkit download of 766 didn't finish but said it did, so the jar file was corrupt :/

    Wait, when I boot my server up, it just says
    ItemCraft: Plugin by name of KSlopes.jar not found.
    So I put KSlopes.jar in my root folder, plugins folder and in the ItemCraft folder. None of them worked, it stil can't find it. Were do I put it ?

    You have to put it in the plugin folder. That's strange that it doesn't work for you.

    Another Good Thing to add would be Stained Glass. Its from the same Author as FancyPack.

    Having an issue ATM. For some reason, the ICFancyPack.jar isn't loading when I restart the server. Kslopes boots up just fine and runs well, just not fancy. I'm also getting a version id for itemcraft of 0.4.4 instead of the newer 0.5.5, even though I downloaded today. This is literally what I get at start up:

    Open up the itemcraft folder and add ICFancypack.jar in the setup.txt.

    You should also update you itemcraft to 0.5

    Itemcraft.jar should be in the first folder, I can't see it on your print screen, and KSlopes should be in the plugin folder "there all of the other plugins are".

    I have kslopes as a plugin workin just fine so I added fancypack also and it did not work. So I redownloaded itemcraft since the ver is 0.5 and I had 0.4.4. The errors went away but itemcraft still ID's as 0.4.4 on startup. ICFancypack still did not work. Then, I had a "duh" moment and added the plugin to the startup.txt as plugin ICFancyPack.jar and it works as advertised now. I hope this helps anybody else struggling with installation and use.

    Its 0.5 even though it lies and says 0.4.4. FancyPack works on it, thats how you know its 0.5. I have to figure out how to get the yml version number from inside the jar somehow

    nice to see that it works with fancypack.. tried it on my own and it works...

    but i geht heavy error messages for nearly every other loaded plugin

    got error messages for autoreplace... deleted the plugin.. then voxel sniper - deleted this too.. then a Nether plugin called for errors..

    as soon as i copy the mod into mc.jar the game crashes on startup :/ there is a error message coming up but i can´t read it, because it shuts down after a second:/

    I messed around with Minecraft Extended mod and I managed to make it work, so that the game has more Terrain Sprite indexes using the standard Modloader texture overrides, for at the moment I am testing it now. The game does crash randomly, have to figure that one out, weather it is my or his mod, that is doing that, but it more or less works, so QUESTION: will it affect multiplayer? P.S. I've disabled more ID function of that mod, using it only to override the max terrain index limit, which is 256 (200), and with mod the number doubles.

    I'm not sure, the texture ids are around on serve side but they may just be relics of laziness of notch and don't really affect gameplay. We'll just have to test and see.

    ICNTrees - support for Nandonalt's trees is now out, the third plugin for this mod. Get ready to go picking apples and bananas.
    ItemCraft 0.6 is also out with brand new features that ICNTrees require to work. For 0.7 I'm planning to add some goodies to the startup file so you can add mobs and stuff, customize behaviour of blocks and items by copying behaviours of other objects in specifiable respects. After that I'll be making a plugin of your choice, maybe several. So go ahead and vote.

    To use Nandonalt's trees together with KSlopes, you need to change some ids because their defaults conflict. An example startup file looks like this:

    Well lets hope it will work, because I had to tweak and reorganize my structure of the mod and I had to do it, so that I can add my custom doors in to the game, which by the way work completely different from More Doors Mod, I don't even want to start to discuss the way how he added his doors into the game, because I am doing it closely like Notch did, with some extra tweaks, and it works astonishing (I won't have any bugs with textures on the sides of the doors) and double doors work very well too).

    Btw I have thought alot about my mod, and came up with not that much of an original, but cool mods name, which is Dungeon Craft, which hopefully will be ready for ItemCraft within this month for bukkit. Will have all tons of crap, hopefully even firearms (pirate and gunpowder type, not SDK crap - old school)

    Sounds good. Even if the server sends the clients texture ids, that shouldn't be too big of a deal for me to mod. Its when it goes into the region chunk files and need modifications of many java files that the block id does that it gets hairy.

    I get it even when i dont have any Item Craft Plugin installed.

    How does your startup file look like? Invalid Block definition cannot occur unless you have a Block instruction, which wasn't in the one I posted.
