[MECH] CraftBook - Redstone bridges, gates, minecarts, ICs, more [BukkitDev]

    CraftBook adds a number of original gameplay elements to Minecraft from switchable bridges to elevators to gates (including flood gates)! It also has redstone support, allowing you to wire up pumpkins and use integrated circuits!

    im guna take a shot in the dark and say that if you dont use the craftbookvehicles.jar MM will work just fine

    Not implemented at com.sk89q.worldedit.regions.CuboidRegion.iterator means you're using a version of WorldEdit that's older than WorldEdit 4.0-beta7. The latest version is WorldEdit 4.0-beta8.

    can you please make it not require worldedit? worldedit lags my server and reverts it, please, this is the god of plugins, i beg you

    My favourite Plugin by far. The IC's are the best thing ever, no longer do I need to hide leagues of circuitry under the ground just to implement a simple trap. I prefer minecart mania's minecart features, but I'd be lost without the IC's. Waiting on baited breath for them to be ported.

    Why hidden button / switch doesn't work with me ?

    I've placed a sign with in the second line [X] and a lever with redstone ... and I click on the "dirt" block with the [X] sign and my door won't open :(

    I am on the most up to date versions of craftbukkit, worldedit, and craftbook, yet craftbook doesn't create the .properties file. It makes the folder, but doesn't make the file. I don't know if this next problem is a result of that, but I can't use redstone to control gates.

    No permissions and nearly no configuration yet. I have to go update the wiki when I get time.

    Not installing Vehicles will keep CraftBook compatible, eventhoughMMstoleallourbetterfeatures (sure, we took booster blocks, but who hasn't thought of that?).

    Mentioned bridges not working earlier, looks like bridges fail to work when I leave the chunk they are made in. Removed Runecraft to make sure it wasn't conflicting, it wasn't the issue.

    I have craftbook 3.0-alpha set up with craftbukkit 478jnks.

    I've tested some of the features that are listed as being in this version, and I can't get gates to work:
    Any ideas? the texture pack is kinda blocking it but it does say [Gate] on the second line. right clicking and left clicking on the sign will not do anything.

    =Edit= weird, though I had reloaded a bunch, after I restarted the server it worked perfectly =)

    Is there a chance you could make signs compatible with SignColours?
    Basically have it ignore any two characters where the first is a # followed by one of 0123456789abcdef. For example I want to make lift signs where the [Lift Up] is written like #f[Lift Up]. It shows up as white in the game, but since the text doesn't match it doesn't work =(

    Also it would be nice if there was a way, and I know this was mentioned here before, to allow users to use existing gates/bridges/lifts without being able to place the sign. For example you could have it check for permissions the moment the user places the block, and if it doesn't find them it could just pop the sign off the wall again, saying 'you don't have permissions to do that'

    Back to the books is there a way so that when a book has a text on the third or first line it will look for that in the text file then display that text not just random?

    HEY! if your sorting blocks worked the same as MM's then sure i would stay loyal, but i cant resist being able to use 106 signs allowing 424 different conditions compounded to infinite through the use of string parsing with * as a variable. plus the ability to specify cardinal directions rather than just left, right, or straight is absolutely perfect.
    most everything else is identical or fluff that is just fun.

    I'll look into the bugs.

    Be aware that when the January Minecraft update came about (that broke everything and forced Bukkit into the scene), MM was entirely inferior to CraftBook in nearly every way (particular in efficiency and performance too, which this probably holds true still).

    That said though, we have about 5-6 developers now and nearly every feature in CraftBook had never been done before until CraftBook... so just hang on! We should have some pretty nice stuff very soon (once we get pass this "get things to work again" stage).
