You can use plugin ReActions and congiure JOIN event (activator) to play explosion (or any other effect) at player location.
timtower too many commands and things i would just like a simple plugin. no commands, no nothing. just makes you explode when you join the server.
I'll do it. I'll have it done for you in about an hour I guess. It's a very simple plugin, so I really don't want to put it on Bukkit Dev or anything. Also do you want a huge explosion or a regular explosion? (This matters due to how the explosion looks, it won't be destroying any land. wowzersam

It's a bit frustrating when somebody asks a dev to spend a half-hour coding something that could easily be accomplished by reading the FAQ of a stable plugin that already exists.
