This just started happening. Running Bukkit-R4 with an updated client. I was able to play just about 15 mins ago, and then every time I tried to login, its shot back with the connection reset error. Looked in console and saw this: Code: 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.NetworkReaderThread.run(SourceFile:76) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.NetworkManager.c(NetworkManager.java:265) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.NetworkManager.h(NetworkManager.java:149) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.Packet.a(Packet.java:79) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.Packet2Handshake.a(SourceFile:17) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE at net.minecraft.server.Packet.a(Packet.java:120) 01.03 14:33:34 [Server] SEVERE java.io.IOException: Received string length longer than maximum allowed (33 > 32) Ideas on how to fix?
Well seeing into the log it seems that the client is not talking to the server currectly. Are you running any client mods or bukkit plugins?
Uhm, you said you are running R4 with an updated client. So you're saying you're running 1.2.2 and trying to connect to a 1.1 server? If this is the case, you can't do that.
Fixed now, but my server host upgraded to 1.2, in which I was also on. So it was working flawlessly, but due to problems, they downgraded back to 1.1, thus the error. They performed the downgrade at about the same time I posted this, so it all makes sense now. Thanks though!
