Solved its done dont come and look

when i try and make my server internet with my ip it says [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT i took off my ip but it only makes it a local and i want it internet . here are my server properties

Also are you using Mac, Linux or Windows?

Ok go to Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) then go to the processes tab, click show processes/tasks from all users (usually at the bottom-left/right of the task manager window). Find any processes called 'java.exe' and click them, then press the end process button and end the process. Repeat this for every java.exe process.

Then try the server again.

Did you get rid of server-ip in your server.properties file?

with nothing after the equals sign

 

but doesnt that make it a local server

i id take away the ip though

No that does not make it a local server. Stop making so many posts, it's spam - and it's annoying. Edit your previous post if you have something else to add to the discussion rather than making pointless consecutive posts.

the log was empty and it wasnt yesterday

 

Your log can't be empty unless you've done something really odd...

No you should never have to add server-ip. Don't question it, just pay attention.

 

its empty i press minecraft server it comes on i press log and its empty

6. Click join

do you mean when you say server start script is it minecraft_server or the server notepad

 

Sorry, you're posts are not making sense to me.

Right-click your .bat file which you use to start your server and choose 'Edit'

then it should open in notepad

copy everything from the file in notepad to this topic.

what does it mean when it says Put the .jar file in the directory you'd like the server to run from what do you mean like directory

 

You should not be running a server if you do not know what a directory is.

You shouldn't even be using a computer.
