I searched through the forums for a bit but didn't find anything.

Is there a way with bukkit to delete chunks? Not just unload them, but delete them, so that they can be regenerated as brand new chunks.

  2. I was asking about the same thing in the WorldEdit plugin thread, as I thought if any mod could do it it could. If you find a way I'd love to hear it, as the only way I can think of is to go into the world files and see if you could physically delete them that way and have them get regenerated.

With the new region format, it is probably even harder. Since there is more than one chunk per file, you can't just stop the server - delete file - start server.

Some kind of nbt editor could probably do it though, maybe search on the minecraft.net site.
