Question Is there a way to do this?

    Hey guys, it's me Carl again I need to ask you guys if there is a way to move all of your minecraft data such as mods,worlds etc. to a later minecraft version. for example i want to move all of my data like mods from my 1.7.10 version profile to a 1.8.9 version. Is there a way to do that? The reason I asked because, MrCrayfish has a mod called Furniture Mod:Community Edition which adds laptops and flat screen TVs. Please tell me if there is anyway I could do this.
