Sorry for "spam", yet everything is just a Google search away:

Edit: Sorry, this is not the most up to date version of Craft Bukkit, yet it is 1.2.4

    Locked. Download links removed.

Download link contained redistributed CraftBukkit using an exe we cannot validate and is making money off an open source project by using filefactory.

This provides an unpleasant download experience contrary to the Bukkit project rules.

The post is back up! I do apologise for the period that this was closed for: It was a few issues that had to be addressed by myself due to requirements set by Bukkit. The Installer was actually approved by Curse and WowAce a few days ago, but the Bukkit Mod who was supposed to relocate this post was extremely busy at the time too. Coupled with the gateway errors of the past two days, it just made it a sequence of bad luck that the installer wasn't up here earlier. But it is now, better than ever before! Cheers guys.

Better than ever before? Craftbukkit states it is downloading while it is actually not, craftbukkit.jar never appears in my server folder.

I only used this to take the pail window plugin and put it onto my own bukkit plugin folder.

I'm getting this error message when I try to run any of the starters:

Error: Unable to access jarfile C:\Users\Gibby\Documents\CraftBukkit\craftbukkit.jar

I'm running on 64 bit Windows 7 with the latest Java 7 you've linked to above. The file is exactly where it installed to by default, right where it says it is in the error above. Any ideas? And, for the record, in the instructions it mentions it displays a screenshot of a shortcut named CraftBukkit Server. I don't have one of those even though i have the server files. I don't know if this is an update or an error as well.

    Thank you for your help!

I changed the code in the java 7 starter to this like the wiki recommended:

    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar

And got this when I ran it:

Error: Unable to access jarfile craftbukkit.jar
Press any key to continue . . .

Installer isn't working...? I tried it about 100 times (no joke) and it just refuses to continue and stops around 10.03 MB everytime. It always ends right before it is about to finish and it looked like I had it a few times but the same error message pops up saying "Sorry, the files could not be downloaded." Then it says retry or exit out of the installer. I don't believe I messed anything up, I just used what I downloaded. Help please! (I had the previous 1.2.4 auto installer if that helps, I honestly am stumped.)

    Night x Wolf

There is no craftbukkit.jar with this auto installer version
Download it from here and put it in your server folder and change the name from '' craftbukkit-1.2.5-R1.0 '' to '' craftbukkit.jar '' thats works with me , hope it work with you all ;)
& Sorry for my bad English :(

all i get is a black window then it disapears ARRGGHHHHH it dosnt work for me Y!

I'm sorry about that, but I can't do anything about it. You can get craftbukkit manually from here. just call it craftbukkit.jar and save it in your server folder.

that means it can't locate the file. check your server folder and make sure you actually have craftbukkit.jar there.

    bad english? I think not!

Hi Imminent Fate this is a great installer and it was great to use. The pail is a fantastic interface to use too. I often prefer using Pail instead of CMD. I was wondering about Pail: Was pail designed in Microsoft Visual Basic?
Cause i have Microsoft Visual Basic and i was looking at designs of the interface. I am not an expert on programming.... :( is it possible i could show you my design for another type of interface. If i am breaching any copyright or so forth i apologize. You could say i was inspired by Pail to create my own interface.

Ah you're asking the wrong person. You would have to ask escape as he was the guy behind the beast. However, I believe it was constructed in Java, hence the good compatibility and simple API it has.
Java is fairly simple to learn (as programming languages go), and I myself only started a short while ago. If you haven't made a plugin before, I may suggest starting there before working on a GUI.

Yes i have started making a few plugins of my own. i had my thoughts it was done in java because ive never heard of java and visual basic mixing XD maybe theres a way..... Optimistic XD.
Making a plugin that will let you choose to have different logs that do different things (log block placements) (log commands) (Log login locations, login times, log almost everything XD) then making a basic simple replacement for essentials for myself to use (i get a bit fed up with the millions of commands that i dont need)

    But yeah,
    maybe there is a way.
Because visual basic lets you create a console application, which is (CMD) i believe havent fully explored its uses.

And once again i cant say how grateful i am that you created this auto installer.
Also i know you have had previous comments about this but the craftbukkit.jar doesnt install so i eventually figured my way arround it XD. Kept forgetting that craftbukkit1.2.5R1.0 or watever its called was the same as craftbukkit.jar

hola mea yudan el bukit no meda ni con el install ni con el code

Could you actually link that for me (Can't find it)? I'm having the same problem AGAIN, and I'm not exactly sure how I fixed it the first time. It just closes immediately after opening. and when I put in the craftbukkit.jar file and then make that RUN.bat it just opens saying "unable to access craftbukkit.jar" which is honestly frustrating me.
