What does this mean? Sometimes after this the server just crashes....
And it often says the server is overloaded. What is this? How can I fix this?

Seems like your server can't keep up, ending up with all RAM used, causing a crash.
Try assigning more RAM to bukkit.
Your launch file is the .bat file you use to start bukkit.
please post the content of your launch file here.

 

Im a bit lost, a friend of mine started throwing eggs all over the place and spawning chickens then the server got all laggy so i disabled animals put that didn't help the chickens were still there and so was all the other animals, i cant kill all of them cause theres a LOT of chickens, the config doesn't seem to work.

to auto install, work fine but when i click on the craftbukkit nothing happens absolut nothing
the i click on start.bat or craftbukkit starter java6 and 7 then CMD comes up in 1 or less

I have JVR 6 and JVR 7 on my programs (86) and just on the normal programs
My com is 64 bit windows 7
as you can see i have java 6 java 7 and 64 on both???

you have a 32bit java version of java 6 and java 7.
I would recommend you to install a 64 bit version.
Your start.bat file should just be like:

you can use this tool to get the latest versions and to create a proper batch file (however current should be working):

Run the tool as administrator
Try deleting all files except craftbukkit.jar and the start.bat file

 

as you can see i am confused have use 2 days one the internet to find out why and this is my last sort this forum... i know its an other language but i did runs as Admin

ohh yea by the way when i tries open the jar file.... nothing happens, only that a java somthing is opening in the job list under processor

 

Download the latest Recommended build again. There is something with your craftbukkit, or permissions

Try this:
Right click on your server folder --> properties --> security
Make sure your account has all rights. (though, if its on your desktop, it should have them already)

 

Hi, im looking to get a bukkit server and i click the global download link but the download interrupts and says end of stream. Im not a computer expert so i have not a clue what is going on. please help!

 

May you add a new download link it takes sometimes 10 minutes to download it. It's kinda frustrating for people that are new to this. And before they even can start they have to wait 10 minutes.

hey great job just had one question i already have a sever(before bukkit) but would like to transfer the world over to bukkit is this possible at all?

 

I have downloaded craftbukkit and i tried to make a batch file and i did but when i run it it says The system cannot find the path specified. Press any key to continue. In the folder i put the craftbukkit .jar folder and it has all the files but i cant run the server because my .bat file isnt working

 

And last not least i have a cracked minecraft BUT i have done this before i just dont know why it does it now.... and my server jar file wont show up but will run?? and plz dont judge me, i know its cracked but if this work i'll maybe buy it but plz plz plz help

You might need to run the tool as administrator

you should use the bat file to start the server, so you can see the server output.
note: if your server is running, there should be a process called "java" in your task manager.

backup your world
download craftbukkit, place the jar file in your server folder
create a .bat file to start craftbukkit (see the wiki, or use tool linked above)
Start the server. Normally, all server settings and worlds should keep working

and my bat file says this when i double click AND have edit it right even used the but-Kit tool :/

and this is the problem. why is it saying that

 

there should be a line in the bat file containing -jar "YOUR JAR FILE PATH"
add this to the end of that line:

-Duser.language=en

that might fix the problem (I think problem is caused by language error or similar: net.minecraft.server.LocaleLanguage)

 

I downloaded that file 2.7.3 -- but It still says CraftBukkitUpToDate: Can't connect to ci.bukkit.org.

 

In that case even the latest version might be incompatible with the server version you are using. In that case, just remove the plugin

 

Minecraft has been updated to 1.1, and I really need an update on CraftBukkit server, if I try and login to my server is says 'Disconnect: Server outdated!'

 

H I'm completely new to minecraft have just started using 1.0 with a friend, tried setting up my server but had no clue what to do so was recommended this auto exe to set it up for me, I port forwarded on my router 25565 ports udp and tcp, started the launcher, when I try to connect to the server typed in local host as address comes up you are not white listed on this server, I went into directory text file white list and added myself but still hasnt made a change

i'm having a bit of trouble with permissions in Bukkit, i'm using group manager (essentials) which I know isn't key but its the one I prefer the most.. I've edited the group.yml file but whenever I start my server and go ingame and try to promote people, either ingame as an Op or from the server console nothing happens, I type it in, it doesn't say error or anything, just the fact that nothing happens. Nothing appears in the server logs... This is my group.yml setup is there a problem anywhere?

change your minecraft folder name, remove the "!"
once you removed the "!" character, you will also have to remove this character from your bat file, or regenerate the bat file.
I don't know if this will fix, but I'm just not sure if such a folder name is allowed.

When i look at your server folder, everything seems all right

Tab's aren't allowed in yml, check if you didn't accidentally put one in the group.yml.

At this moment minecraft 1.1 is not support yet.
You'll have to stick with minecraft 1.0 until bukkit is updated.
(note: Don't ask when that update will be available. The team is working as hard as possible on the update, they only get slowed down by questions like "when will it be available" )

start your server, and send the following command:
whitelist add [YOUR NAME]
whitelist reload

Yeah, just checked, there are no tabs in any of the lines of code.. I get no error messages, nothing appears in the logs, nothing happens, which is the strange thing. I don't get a reply saying error, no command exists ect. The text dissapears and everything remains the same..
