    Hello,
I have my craftbukkit server and it seems one player has big troubles connecting - he keeps getting disconnected (timed out) during terrain load. Internet speed test shows 6ms latency, but only around 0.5Mbps download speed, so that might be the issue. I read somewhere that lowering view-distance in server.properties might help, but I am thinking if there is a way to increase the time limit to allow player join even if it takes them longer. I didn't find any such variable.
Another player with better connection can connect fine.

@McVitas Lower the view-distance, that is the fastest method that you can will find.
    Or get a host.

    That's literally what I wrote - that I read somewhere I should lower the view-distance ;D
But I asked if there is a way to change the timeout value. So I guess not...
Get a host - What do you mean by that?

    this might be it
