[INACTIVE][MECH] MobRider v0.32 - Finally a proper use for saddles! [674]

Really? It unbroke itself? Are you sure?
Last time i tryied with 740 commands wouldnt drive the mobs. But I didnt test any of the unrecomended builds after that.

 

Ummmm my mob dont go anywhere to where i put my fiching rod. Plus it generates tis error(the cause?)

BUKKIT BUILD 760 - WORKS - But has no mob control or chat commands and also resets your skin to default???!!?

 

I almost have an updated version for 740 (just have to add wolf support). However, I'm not totally comfortable releasing it; the code is quite a mess. Tell me: would you rather have a version that's liable to have multiple bugs now, or would you prefer to wait until most of them have been ironed out?

 

@Fluff I can help you to clean up the code - mebbe make a repo in Github?

 

It's on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/levi_middleton/mobrider. From what I can tell, everything works, but I've only tested this build for about 20 minutes. Previously an error occurred in MobRider while I was just standing around related to an invalid event cast. I fixed that up, but who knows how many more little timebombs like that are left in here.

 

@Fluff Yeah, I know how that is - I'm trying to fix up the old release of MobControl, myself.

 

I would rather wait for a polished version than get a buggy version that will have to be polished anyways. Also... while you're coding, you should add a (hopefully configurable) radius of effect to all the commands! Right now there is none, and its really unrealistic, and game breaking as well. Its a bad thing that /follow notch will make your mount go to notch no matter where he is on the map, especially in pvp situations.

 

Good to know someone is picking edward hand plugins.

 

I decided to go ahead and start posting builds here. These builds are not guaranteed to be stable. Once we've worked out the kinks, I'll post a new thread. If you want to help work them out, please test these builds. If you want to wait for the 'stable' build, wait for the new thread.

Thanks for this, though I got a bug...

Regardless of having * permissions, it states that I do not have permissions to ride players. I can ride mobs though, just fine.
