Hi, as an admin of a large server I have noticed that after a while, the player files located in "/world/players" seem to weigh the server down a bit. Also deleting a world with 4000 player files inside is not a fast action.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before but why not implement MYSQL and store player info through that? It would make the lives of many server admin SOOO much easier.

    Comments and criticism please.

I really haven't noticed any speed difference. My old map had about 40,000 player files, and my new map currently has 17461 player files. There seems to be no difference in speed between a world with less player files and a world with more.

I also think being able to manipulate the data would be useful.

I want it. This will make rollbacks much more easier (also inventory rollbacks!) However, that will make server actually work slower - file-based storage will be faster because world split into chunks
