[Idea] [Discussion] JSR223 + redstone + spout = scriptable ICs?

I had this crazy idea: can we make redstone ICs that are scriptable in some good, high-level, readable (yes, Mr. We Have Perlstone Already, freaking readable) language like JavaScript or BeanShell or Jython or whatever else supports JSR223 (aka javax.script). What held me off before was that you'll need a whole load of signs to make code fit. But now we have Spout, and it's possible to make a JS shell/editor with it. So I just thought I'll ask here and see if anyone's interested before I start coding. So, <thread>.
