    'Unable to find spawn biome' and then an exception because of null, I'm guessing the world is corrupt. Try playing it in single player and see if it works.

    Have a server up with this world and it is running right now. Sure the world is corrupt then?

    I'm getting the same error. I have a vanilla server that runs fine (new world, spawned it when 1.8 came out) and when I try to run it under Bukkit, I get the same spawn biome error.

    Update: Followed TheArcher's setup instructions from the wiki, basically started from scratch, still get the same error. It's worth noting that even with a fresh world, I see the "Unable to find spawn biome" error, so it's probably not that causing the issue. The next line, on a fresh world, is preparing the world and mentions the seed number.

    Running on Windows 7 x64

    Java Info:
    java version "1.6.0_23"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_23-b05)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode)

    Calling Bukkit via a .bat file (I was running bukkit back with MC 1.5, using this .bat):
    Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
    No Plugins at this time, just straight Bukkit. Did this with the latest bukkit available from the page today, #1185

    After more Googling and coming up empty, I decided to step through everything again. Looks like there's a newer version of Bukkit (it's like 1 kb bigger than the one I had tried earlier, must've been a very recent release) and still no soup. So then I started a fresh world, stopped the server, copied my world and overwrote the fresh world, and that worked - except now I was seeing Chunk errors, spamming like crazy. Found Chunkster, followed the instructions to fix the bad chunk, and now all is well. Posting here in case it helps anyone else.

    It worked to copy the way you did, thank you.
    How did you find the link to fix it, in case I get the same problem.
