How to transfer items from one map to another?!

hey there everyone,

I am wondering how I can transfer all of the player inventories from one world to another. I have a map right now and I am startinga new one but I need to keep the inventories players already have there so how would I do this?

 

well this is obviously based on a per server basis.

I created a area, and gave each player a double chest to put stuff in, then I used worldedit to export that area, then started a new map and imported it into the new one. Then let them get all their stuff from their chest and we moved on.

 

If you just need inventories, copy the players directory from the current world folder, and paste it into the new world folder.

Keep in mind that this moves the inventory, player positions and health/hunger. Locations might not end well, so using rTriggers to spam /unstuck on login would be a good solution to people getting stuck.

 

have both worlds running at the same time and have a portal between the two worlds so they can bring the items themselves over?
