How to change the initial spawn for first time players

Hello i've had a server for a bit and today i was told that when your join for the first time you don't spawn in the "spawn". in fact you spawn in a whole different world. once you die you go to the main spawn and when you do /spawn you go there too but not when you first log in and that can be a major problem. if anyone knows of any plugins that change the initial spawn that would be great.

I used Essentials Spawn for this. It has commands for setting the default spawn point. You can remove the plugin when not needed anymore.

 

I use rank-ups and such, I just say that if they don't have a certain permission, I'm cancelling the command, and teleporting to the location I want them to be in.
