   I have a 1.7.2 / 1.7.4 (my computer cannot go past 1.7.2 because of graphics card errors) and some servers I like are compatible with 1.7.2 AND 1.8, but I want to know how to do that because some people don't like switching clients.

   Pretty sure you need to use something called "ProtocolLib".
