How do I give users permission to use /Home and how do I hide admin colors

I run a server with bukkit. The problem is that people who join my server do not have permission to use any commands what so ever. Not /Help or /sethome or /Home.

I made a groups.txt file and added

default:f:/help,/sethome,/home,/spawn,/me,/msg,/playerlist,/motd,/compass,/tell,/m,/who:default

like it said ok wiki but that didn't help.

I also noticed that bukkit makes the admins name red. This is very inconvenient because I like to be able to play on my own server as well without people treating me like an OP. I went to users.txt and added

nathuram:admins::f

which should have worked but it seems to work randomly. Sometimes my name is red. Sometimes its white and it switches randomly while in the game.

 

Have you posted in the thread for the plugin in question? You'll get better support there, as the people watching the thread will be most familiar with these problems.

Is there nothing specific available?

Like what do I add to config.yml to give the users these permissions.

And why is the color of my name random? It switches between white and red.

I checked with the company I rent servers from and they said it could have something to do with "worldguard" or "essentials"
