Help with hacked Clients

    Is there a plugin or a setting besides whitelisting my server that will stop hacked/cracked clients from joining my server. The default MC checker isnt working very well and we have had a rash of cyber punks today.

    You can let player behavior be double-checked by plugins such as AntiCheat or NoCheatPlus

    Make sure you're running the latest development build. Earlier development/beta builds have a vulnerability.

    Thanks...Thats the latest build according to the getbukkit link.

    I downloaded and installed that build but when i restart my server it says

    2013-09-09 15:39:25 [INFO] This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.6.2-R0.1-17-gfdc5656-b2866jnks (MC: 1.6.2)

    Shouldn't it say R0.2 ? I have triple checked the file I downloaded and the one that i put in my server jar folder and they are the same.

    I don't think it should. It's only a development build after all. Don't worry about it I'm sure it's fine

    As mentioned above, you can use plugins such as NoCheatPlus and AntiCheat, however, there is no way to stop players with hacked clients from joining the server. You can only stop the hacks themselves from being used. Basically, a player can join your server with a hacked client, however, your anti-cheat system will block them from actually using any of the hacks such as fly, NoClip, speed hacks, etc.

    Thats just great. I tried NCP and had horrible luck with it since we use MCMMO, i will give anticheat a shot.
