Help with essentials multiple sethome

Hey everyone, i've been trying to configure the amount of homes each rank can set on my factions server, but it never seems to work, cause when i update the file and reload essentials, the file i made is renamed to ''config.yml.broken.' and replaced with a new config file, i have looked everywhere for help for how to configure that, but i just can't find anything, i'd appreciate it if anyone could help me out.
