What is it?
BossShopConfigureX is a powerful and userfriendly GUI that makes setting up shops for the plugin BossShop way easier. It is a very much improved version of BossShopConfigure: It looks better and has more functionality.

NOTE: Does not support PaperSpigot/Cauldron. Please use a Spigot.jar/Craftbukkit.jar/Bukkit.jar to edit your shops with this tool. Your server can use PaperSpigot/Cauldron together with BossShop without problems but this tool needs specific classes to run, which are not available at PaperSpigot/Cauldron.

I would love to be able to use this instead of bsc, however i cant get it to load the shops. it seems like its working and asks if i would like to back up the files. If i hit yes it does ot, however after that the screen never changes from the load screen.

 

What operating system are you using? Have you selected a valid BossShop.jar and a valid Bukkit.jar?

 

I have the same Problem:
I'm using:
-Win10
-Spigot 1.8.3
-I tried to rename the spigot-1.8.3.jar to bukkit.jar, but it still not worked

 

Please create a "<any name.>.bat" (Batch) file which contains following command:

java -jar BossShopConfigureX.jar

and put it into your BossShopConfigureX_beta folder.

When you launch the Batch file it should (when your Java path is set up correctly) launch BossShopConfigureX.jar and print out any error message in the console. That's the error message which I need. Later I'll add a feature that automatically prints error messages into a textfile.

Additional question: Are you using the launcher?

Because else you need to put in a BossShop.jar and bukkit.jar into the "BossShopConfigureX_lib" folder manually.

im using windows 7, yes, and yes. they're both the some jars that i use on the server(bukkit.jar that i use for developing as well because i use cauldren on my server)

Have you selected a valid and up-to-date BossShop.jar? The error message tells that the program was not able to find the class files of the BossShop.jar. You can manually put a BossShop.jar inside the libaries folder aswell.

 

im not using an up-to-date version on the server, do to mc 1.7.10. would it still work? or can i put the newest version on the server without issues?

*update, used newest jar and program works fine, my questions still remain however.

 

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the most recent BossShop version should work fine on your server.

 

alright i may try it, looks like editing the files in the gui works 95% of the time and uploading to an old version works as well, however it seems like it freezes when i try to change the menu item on a modded item.

I'm gonna add a request for the plugin while im here...when there is an unknown id in a config it doesn't tell you which config it is in, just that there is one. when you have 15+ shops it takes some time to find and fix it...basically would love it if you could make it show which config has the problem.

 

The BossShop configuration tool. How to use it with a hosted environment

 

Download the bossshop folder in /plugins/ load it into the tool, edit, and reupload.

 

BossShopConfigure has only been tested with up-to-date BossShop builds. If you have issues with the recent BossShop not working on your server then please contact me then we can sort the issue out and make BossShop work with your server. Besides you can optionally use the old BossShopConfigure tool that supports really old BossShop versions.

Does this happen with an outdated BossShop version? When exactly does the message occur? Here are some possibilities:

• Every time shops are loaded
• When a shop that contains a specific feature (if that's the case, please name it) is loaded
• When a shop is loaded after it has been edited by the tool

Im using the newest verrsion on the server and this happened after i tried to load up the shops a second time(it worked the first time)

 

It's because the configurator tends to throw unwanted things in the rewards. Let's say I want a menu as reward. It's going to put the menu and the basic itemlist from the "item" reward. It basically corrupts the shop, and makes the configurator unable to load it. The configurator should not add unwanted lines, maybe something to change for the next version.

how does this work if i have a hosted server i cant select the server paths

Just download the files from the hosted server to your computer, run the program, and upload the created config file.

 

Excuse me but, when I launch it from the specified path in the launcher for it, it just brings up


How would I go about fixing that

I have craftbukkit-1.7.9-R0.1-20140501.232444-18.jar and 1.1.3 ConfigureX and latest bossshop.jar
even i try the 1.7.9 bossshop version i still get this error
this error occur when i click in to a shop, the i try to edit the item, but it fine to click delete prefix item,

it just freeze when i click the Menuitem box or reward>1 STONE double click or view 1 STONE
when freeze is fine to click LOAD SAVE SETTING

 

Use a more recent craftbukkit.jar in order to solve the issue (Only the one this tool uses, you do not have to update your server).

 

Thx, at last, i used 1.10 spigot server and latest bossshop.jar and conf,
finally i can edit everything,
and the latest bossshop.jar it work fine on my 1.7.10 Kcaudron server with mod

i found a that i don't know if it is bug or not
when i type actual item ids with ':'
lets say 4431:1
in the file it detect - type:4431:1
but only 4431 it can show up with ids

another thing is this plugin is not work with inventory tweaks mod, haha
when i opened a shop and i clicked inventory sorting button,
the shop actually help me to buy tons of stuff,
just reporting, i am not asking to fix, but if you can fix the ids problem i like that~!
